A man was asked to paint a boat. He brought his paint and brushes and began to paint the boat a bright red, as the owner asked him.

While painting, he noticed a small hole in the hull, and quietly repaired it.

When he finished painting, he received his money and left.

The next day, the owner of the boat came to the painter and presented him with a nice check, much higher than the payment for painting.

The painter was surprised and said “You've already paid me for painting the boat Sir!”

“But this is not for the paint job. It's for repairing the hole in the boat.”

“Ah! But it was such a small service... certainly it's not worth paying me such a high amount for something so insignificant.”

“My dear friend, you do not understand. Let me tell you what happened:

“When I asked you to paint the boat, I forgot to mention the hole.

“When the boat dried, my kids took the boat and went on a fishing trip.

“They did not know that there was a hole. I was not at home at that time.

“When I returned and noticed they had taken the boat, I was desperate because I remembered that the boat had a hole.

“Imagine my relief and joy when I saw them returning from fishing.

“Then, I examined the boat and found that you had repaired the hole!

“You see, now, what you did? You saved the life of my children! I do not have enough money to pay your 'small' good deed.”

So no matter who, when or how, continue to help, sustain, wipe tears, listen attentively, and carefully repair all the 'leaks' you find. You never know when one is in need of us, or when God holds a pleasant surprise for us to be helpful and important to someone.

Along the way, you may have repaired numerous 'boat holes' for several people without realizing how many lives you've save. ❤️

My Story

My name is Shannon, and I live in Parksville, British Columbia. I am a wife and mother of 4. I have two adult children that have flown the coop, one is married and one is engaged. I have two others at home, a 17 year old son and 12 year old daughter. I have been very fortunate that my husband has been able to provide for us so that I could stay at home and run the household for 26 years. I have worked a few part time jobs that I offset with his work schedule however, it wasn’t conducive to our lives, as I still had to come home and do dinner and homework with the kids. Though he makes enough for a comfortable living, and I am very grateful, I needed to do something for ME! I’ve competed in bagpiping competitions and took up highland dance as an adult as well as competed in that. Those activities were beneficial for me, and happened at the right time in my life.

Along with running a home, we also take in International students that come here for school. Making school lunches and feeding them and my own kids on a daily basis is a a job in itself! On top of that time that I spend at home, I am also a Commanding Officer with the Navy League cadets in my town, and it’s ALL volunteer time (NO INCOME). I have run this corps for 6 years. I have enjoyed and continue to enjoy teaching and mentoring these 9-12 year old youths!

One evening, I was scrolling in Facebook, I came across an ad that intrigued me, more than intrigued me, because we all see ads on Facebook! So I clicked on the button to sign up for a free, no obligation webinar. I am so glad that I did! Although I was skeptical, I figured, why not, it’s risk free, and if I could spend the amount of time working on the Navy League program for free, run my home as a stay at home mom for free, I could work on my own online digital business to garner an income for me, and my family!

I have decided to become an entrepreneur after so many years, because I finally found something that resonates with me as much as piping, dancing and Navy League! I checked out this proven system. It is generating income for many people by leveraging the internet and it is using multimedia platforms that I am using anyway. Why not leverage these platforms for myself!?!
