A little over one year ago, I took a leap. This month I'm taking another one.

My name is Trika, and after over a decade helping small businesses build strong HR foundations—hiring the right people, creating policy and structure, managing legal risk, and supporting growth—I launched my own fractional HR consulting company.

Third Leaf Solutions recently celebrated its first anniversary. It’s been a year of learning, growing, and doing the work I love most: helping small businesses in BC thrive.

I’ve lived on the coast most of my life, and I’ve worked alongside local entrepreneurs who wear every hat—owners who are running job sites, managing crews, handling payroll, and trying to build something sustainable. I’ve supported plumbing companies, HVAC businesses, electricians, and other trades-based teams, as well as security, hospitality and retail businesses through the real challenges of hiring, firing, retention, compliance, and people problems that can make or break a business.

This is my passion—helping good businesses become great ones by setting up the kind of people systems that actually work for them. Simple, useful processes. Clear policies. Confident, effective management. It’s not about red tape—it’s about freedom, stability, and growth.

Now, one year in, I’m taking the next step. I’m going all in. I’m leaving the security of my day job to focus fully on Third Leaf. It’s a little scary, but it’s the right time. I have room for a couple more clients, and I’d love to work with small business owners who want to build strong teams and sustainable operations.
