Rescue and shelter animals can hold a lot of anxiety, worry, fear, and pain around difficult memories. Reiki is a non-invasive way to support an animals needs who may seem too wounded to feel comfortable with human touch. They may display heightened anxiety and reactivity and would benefit in releasing their past emotional pain and suffering. Reiki is about making space for animals to feel safe and supported, calm and loved and it is not forced upon any animal, but offered for their healing if they wish to receive it.
