Here at the Kawartha-Haliburton Children's Foundation, we are getting excited for our Send a Kid to Camp AXE-travaganza event that is taking place on Friday, May 2. This is our major fundraising event that helps send 150 kids involved with the Kawartha Haliburton Children's Aid Society to attend summer camp. We have been working behind the scenes to get everything ready and we are excited to start ticket sales on Monday.

When the Foundation was established in 1983, sending kids to camp was our primary purpose. We have expanded our scope of support, yet summer camp has remained a priority program. Camp is an opportunity for children to connect with new friends, to meet and build relationships with caring adults and counselors, and to get outside and just be a kid. Our goal is to foster feelings of inclusion and belonging in children and build their self-confidence – camp helps us do this.

This will be our 6th year hosting the Send a Kid to Camp AXE-travaganza. We are thrilled once again to gather with our supportive community for a night of friendly axe throwing competition to raise funds for our Summer Camp Program. Events like this would not be possible without our supporters. I want to give a big shout out to Herod Financial, our presenting sponsor, and to all of our other partners - Peterborough Axe Club, AON Inc. Residential & Commercial, Kawartha Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (KOMFS), Kawartha Gymnastics, Paris Marine, Kawartha Orthodontics, Harco Supply, BALL Real Estate Inc., Brokerage, Terra Firm, Savage Arms, Bryans Heating and Cooling, and PHOTO BOOTH FUN.

We are offering sessions at 5:30 and 8:00 and we have added a 3:00-5:00 session for local businesses. We encourage you to close the office a couple of hours early on Friday, May 2 and join us for some friendly axe throwing fun with your colleagues, all in support of local kids in need.

Your trust, loyalty, and unwavering support have been the cornerstone of our success for six decades.

Holiday Closure Notice:
Our offices will close for the holidays on December 24th at noon and reopen on December 27th, 2024. We will also close on December 31st, 2024, at noon and reopen on January 2nd, 2025.

HELP US FILL THE TRUCK✨🥫 🚚🍽️🎄
Harco is proud to be part of Central Smith Creamery 4th Annual ‘Fill The Truck’ campaign again this holiday season! We are accepting non-perishable food items in support of local food banks.

Please drop off all donations by Dec. 19th at 675 The Parkway, Peterborough between 9 am and 4 pm. Central Smith Creamery will be collecting from all locations on December 20th.
