As part of our Earth Day initiatives, we brought the community together through our HSR Earth Month Recycling & Donation Drive in Port Coquitlam!

Thank you to everyone in the community who participated and helped make the event a success! Together, we collected a range of recyclable materials, including electronics, batteries, light bulbs, and scrap metal, ensuring they were handled responsibly.

As a result, HSR Services is pleased to contribute $200 to the Port Coquitlam Foundation, supporting local programs and initiatives.

Happy Global Recycling Day! ♻️
On this Global Recycling Day, we want to take you back to where our story began.

Happy Stan Recycling started with a man and a simple idea!

Back in 1989, our founder Stan Kaminski was pulling cardboard out of dumpsters in Vancouver's Yaletown district, long before recycling was something companies thought about. He would take it to the facility, get paid for it, and then go back to those same companies and say: "Hey, don't throw it away. Just set it aside. I'll handle it."

From there, we grew. Cardboard turned into paper. Paper turned into electronics, light bulbs, and so much more. The operation expanded, the team grew, and so did our understanding of how materials actually move through facilities, through supply chains, and through the hands of the people managing them every day.

That ground level experience is still at the heart of everything we do at HSR Services today. We know that recycling works best when the whole process supports it, from how materials are collected, to how they are sorted, to how contamination is caught before it becomes a problem.

35+ years later, we are still showing up for that💪
