Kids have the best excuses, whether it be over bedtime, dinner or really anything that they do not want to do. Tonight, I had a good laugh as I struggled to get my 5 year old to finish her dinner.

Me: Nylah finish your supper
Nylah: I can't, but I still really want a treat
Me: Not a chance, if you are hungry enough for a treat you can finish your supper.
Nylah: but mommy, I am so tired of scooping, I just keep scooping and scooping with the spoon and it makes my arm so tired."🤣

Seeing the love and friendship developing between these two is so precious, they are at an age that they play together, want to sleep together and comfort each other if one is upset...they do still have their moments of fighting, but all in all, I am thankful to be present during this time.

I have been a little MIA in terms of my social posts over the last couple of weeks, as I decided being more available and in the moment with my family is more important right now. I will continue to help and support any families that are in need of my services, I just may not be keeping up with my social posts as much as usual.❤

The short answer No, sleep training can interfere with a newborns feeding schedule that is so important at this stage.

Now the more complicated answer....there are many things that can be introduced right from day 1 to encourage healthy sleep habits. Building this sleep foundation, sets them up for success to transition into a good sleeper when the time comes.

Late afternoon early evening can test the patience of many parents. The Witching hour can be very common for infants to go through on a day to day basis. If you are struggling through this time of day, assess the situation by taking note to the amount of stimulation they are having throughout the day as well as making sure they are not overtired❤.
