Welcome to Canada's First Forestry Station Interpretive Centre's page! We are a heritage site located at 855 Highway 24 just north of beautiful St. Our mission is to educate the public on the devastation to the surrounding area as a result of clear cutting by early settlers of the area from the late 1700s to the early 1900s. Established in 1908, this Forestry Station was Canada's first an

d helped restore the land to what we now call "Ontario's Garden". We welcome you to come visit our interpretive centre and learn about the Forestry Station! There is no admission charge to visit The Centre. We gratefully accept donations to help with the up-keep of our century old building. We are open everyday except Tuesdays from 10:30am to 4:30pm Victoria Day through Labour Day (i.e. all summer). However, if you would like to see the Interpretive Centre after our regular operating hours, we are happy to accommodate small and large groups by contacting us. With full washroom facilities, picnic tables, and trails throughout the surrounding forests, come spend an entire day exploring nature's wonders at Canada's First Forestry Station!
