If you are like us, you may find that the 9 to 5 paycheques are just not enough anymore. I have worked in the construction sector for 25 years, I am an avid hockey fan, NFL fan and love woodworking. I enjoy travelling (Mexico, Vegas, Florida and a growing bucket list) I have a wife of 26 years, Lynne, who is my partner in life and this business and we have 2 amazing grown kids age 23 and 18. Our

daughter just finished university in 2024 and received her degree in education and is now a teacher and our son graduated grade 12 in 2025, is currently taking online classes and also is in construction during the summer months.

Well… looks like we have some practicing to do. 😂

We came back to our page with a renewed mindset, ready to show up consistently…

And then life happened.

And, if we’re being completely honest, we dropped the ball on posting again. 🤦‍♀️😂

But you know what?

We’re not going to beat ourselves up over it.

Because this is exactly what we’ve been talking about.

Consistency isn’t about being perfect. It’s about getting back up and continuing. 💪🌱

So here we are.

Showing up again.

And maybe that’s the bigger lesson we’re learning right now—not just in business, but in life.

You don’t have to start over every time you miss a day.

You just have to keep going.

We’re still learning.
We’re still building.
And we’re still committed to seeing what happens when we actually give this our best. ❤️

🐾 Sunday Perspective

Sometimes it’s the little moments that remind you what really matters. ❤️

This weekend we got to spend time with our daughter and her boyfriend, help out with some yard work, and of course… sneak in some quality time with the cat. 😂🐾

Nothing fancy.
Nothing complicated.

Just family, laughter, a little hard work, and time together.

And honestly, these are the moments that remind us why we’re working toward our next chapter.

We’re not chasing a perfect life.

We’re working toward having more choices.
More flexibility.
More time with the people we love. ❤️

We’re still building.
We’re still learning.
And we’re still figuring it all out. 🌱

But we’re also learning to appreciate where we are while we’re working toward where we want to be.

Today, we’re just grateful for family, time together, and a very spoiled cat. 😂🐾

🌱 Saturday plans…

Today we’re hitting the road to spend some time with our daughter and her boyfriend—and apparently, we’ve been recruited for some yard work! 😂🪴

Honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.

These are the moments we’re reminded of what we’re working toward. ❤️

More time with family.
More flexibility.
More opportunities to say “yes” when the people we love need us.

We’re still building toward that kind of freedom, and we’re definitely not there yet.

But that’s our why.

It’s not just about building a business.

It’s about building a life that gives us more opportunities to show up for the people who matter most. ❤️

So today, we’re trading the laptops for shovels and enjoying some family time. 😂🌱

✨ Friday thought…

What if instead of asking, “What if this doesn’t work?”

We started asking…

“What if we actually give it a real chance?” 🤔

That’s the question we’re asking ourselves right now.

We’ve spent time learning. We’ve seen other people take this journey and create results. We’ve experienced the frustration of losing momentum, and we’ve had to be honest about our own part in that.

But we’re not going to let the fact that we haven’t reached our goals yet decide what happens next.

We’re choosing to show up.

To learn.
To apply.
To be consistent.
To keep going. 💪🌱

We don’t know exactly where this road will take us.

But we’re finally giving ourselves the opportunity to find out.

And honestly… that’s pretty exciting. ❤️

Thursday — The Hard Truth

💭 Sometimes the hardest thing to admit is that the problem might be… us.

We’ve been thinking a lot about this lately.

When you’re building something and the results aren’t where you hoped they’d be, it’s easy to question the business.

Is it working?
Is this really for us?
Should we be doing something different?

We’ve asked ourselves all of those questions.

But then we had to take a step back and look at our own effort.

Were we showing up consistently?
Were we applying what we were learning?
Were we giving it the time and attention it actually deserved?

Honestly… not always. 🤷‍♀️

And that’s a tough thing to admit.

But it’s also freeing.

Because if we’re part of the problem, we can also be part of the solution. 💪

We’ve seen people around us learn the skills, stay consistent, put in the work, and make progress.

So instead of wondering whether we can do this, we’re asking ourselves a different question:

What happens if we actually give it our best effort?

That’s what we’re about to find out. 🌱

No shortcuts.
No overnight promises.
Just learning, applying, showing up, and giving ourselves a real chance.

We’re excited to see where that takes us. ❤️

💭 Something we’re reminding ourselves of lately…

Consistency beats perfection.

We’ve spent too much time thinking we needed to have the perfect plan, the perfect timing, or the perfect amount of time before we could really move forward.

The truth?

We just need to show up.

Even on the days when we’re not motivated.
Even when progress feels slow.
Even when we’re not sure exactly what we’re doing.

Because every time we show up, we learn something. 🌱

We’ve seen people in our community build this business by doing something pretty simple:

They stayed consistent. They learned. They applied what they learned. And they kept going.

That’s something we’re taking seriously this time around.

We’re not looking for overnight success.

We’re looking for progress.

One day.
One lesson.
One action.
One step at a time. 💪

💭 A little Tuesday truth from us…

We’ve learned something about building a business…

There will probably never be a perfect time.

There will always be work.
There will always be responsibilities.
There will always be reasons to put it off.

And sometimes, if we’re being completely honest, the biggest thing standing in our way is ourselves. 🤷‍♀️

We’ve done that.

We’ve stepped back. We’ve gotten frustrated. We’ve lost our momentum.

But we’re learning that progress doesn’t come from waiting until everything is perfect.

It comes from showing up and doing the work. 💪🌱

So that’s our focus right now.

Less overthinking.
Less making excuses.
More learning.
More applying.
More consistency.

We’re still building. We’re still figuring things out. And we’re determined to give this the effort it deserves. ❤️

🌅 Sunday Reset

Sometimes you don’t need a completely new plan.

Not every day has to be about productivity.
