I've been afraid to be myself, to show you the real me.
I've been holding back, playing small, all while thinking and believing I was truly GOING FOR IT!
And honestly, I guess I've kind of been doing both.
Holding back- a lifetime of feeling misunderstood has caused me to dumb myself down, certainly in my marriage; silence was golden for me anyway, and it was the way I survived. So I learned not to voice my opinion, not to disagree, and not to stand up for myself.
And in retrospect, I see how that has impacted how I've shown up online, on Facebook. Especially since my concussion, when the floodgates of self-doubt and judgment open wide.
And also, I was doing the absolute best I could at the time.
I was going as fully in as I could; I was showing up as much as I could, and it was good enough.
And I look around, and I see so many of my clients doing the same: going all in as much as they can right now AND holding back at the same time.
Beautiful, genius women who have a deep, soul-burning desire to impact the world and create change, and holding back at the same time.
Maybe you can relate to that, too.
Maybe you've been told to sit down and be quiet most of your life.
