My hashimotos healing journey....

This morning I took a little trip to one of my very favorite spots in Prince George, .refillery . I was popping in to refill a few things, and it reminded me how much these small, intentional choices have been supporting me on my Hashimoto’s journey. 💛

So, today I’m sharing 5 all-natural Canadian products that have been helping me take control over the choices I make to feel better.

🌿 Natural deodorant from aluminum-free and it keeps me smelling good..
🪥 Toothpaste from - fluoride-free, clean ingredients, and made here in Canada.
✨ Dishwasher tabs from — non-toxic, no chlorine or harsh chemicals.
🕯️ Locally Homespun Refillery candles — clean-burning, non-toxic, and a beautiful way to freshen the air in my home.
🍪 And of course… I didn’t leave without a little treat from cupcakes which are gluten-free, dairy-free, and so delicious.

As someone navigating Hashimoto’s, these small shifts have been incredibly supportive for my body and my peace of mind. And I’ve been feeling called to share more of this part of my life.

I didn’t know this part of the trip would change me.

I arrived with no real plan, just an openness to wander, listen, and let the city show me what I needed to see.

From waking up on a hillside overlooking fall-soaked rooftops… to sipping the “best cappuccino in town”… to wandering markets, climbing foggy forest trails, eating Black Forest cake, and getting pleasantly lost in old streets, every moment felt like a reminder to slow down, trust myself, and choose the things that make me feel alive.

There were moments of tenderness too, the quiet evenings, the loneliness that came with slowing down. But sitting with those feelings felt like part of the journey… part of coming home to myself.

Freiburg, Germany, showed me what happens when you step into the unknown with an open heart.
What becomes possible when you follow curiosity instead of fear. And, why carving out space for our own desires, even the small ones, matters so much.

I will be sharing more about this on this week’s Rooted in the River Podcast. There is so much more to unpack. 🤍
