Red Mountain & Mount Baldy Access Update: We have been informed that the railway crossing gate at 1.7 km on the Fraser Flats Road will be locked during periods of non-industrial use. This is related to requirements of a crossing agreement with CN. This will likely happen within the next week or so. In addition the crossing at 1.7km is scheduled for repairs this summer, the exact date is unknown at this time. During this period pedestrian access will be restricted. For those heading into the Red Cabin access is still available using the Penny trailhead.

PGBRS and OVERhang invite you to be inspired and join us on March 28th at UNBC - Canfor Theatre for a showing of The Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival world tour films. This event features a selection of films from the Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival films and includes an incredible line-up of captivating stories from around the world. Funds raised from this event will go towards local climbing route development and maintenance in the Prince George area.

PGBRS Cabin Booking System Update!
Effective immediately the booking system for the PGBRS Cabins (Raven, Grizzly, Red, The Farm, and Longworth) has been changed to a 4 month rolling system from a Summer and Winter intake system. This has been done in part to avoid system crashes due to heavy volumes when the seasonal bookings open. This approach will require a bit more planning by parties and will hopefully reduce the frenzied bookings on past opening nights. This system should also be easier on the volunteers managing the booking system. Over the years we have heard a lot of feedback on the cabin booking system, hopefully this will address some of the common complaints. This change is now live on the PGBRS booking page.

We will trial this system out to see how it works and may adjust down the road. We are also looking at more sophisticated booking software, but that comes with a heftier price tag. Thank you.

Avalanche Awareness Night
OVERhang, Ruckus, Avalanche Canada, and PGSAR are hosting an Avalanche Awareness Evening at Otway.

This evening is designed to be hands-on, informative, and accessible for anyone who spends time in the winter backcountry.

The event will be held Monday February 23rd:
6pm-7pm: hands-on practice session at the Transceiver Park
7pm-9pm: avalanche presentations, demos, prizes, snacks and social with beverages at the Main Lodge at CNSC (Otway).

All are welcome, no commitment necessary.

We will hear reports from our 14 member clubs, and from our directors.

There will be elections. We are looking for:

- Vice-President
- Multiple Director at Large positions

At the AGM, you will hear final updates on the Longworth Lookout and Grizzly Den rebuild projects. Updates on current work on the Troll Lake Cabin will be presented. Our finances will be presented.

December 4th @ Ruckus – 6:30 PM
