Some art is meant to travel... and some is meant to come home.
I painted this Bob Marley piece back in Grade 12-2003 while living in Yellowknife. I sold it to one of my teachers for $200-l regretted it almost instantly.
I moved away, Years passed,I even reached out hoping to buy it back - no response.
And then... somehow... it found its way back to me.

I don’t always share the behind-the-scenes of what creating art means for me, but this feels important.

If I hadn’t received this commission, I’m not sure if—or when—I would have picked up my paintbrush again. This year has been incredibly hard, and honestly, not very full of joy. There were moments I wondered if I’d lost my spark altogether.

But this piece reminded me why I started creating in the first place. It gave me a reason to show up at my easel, to mix colors, to feel the quiet magic of turning a blank canvas into something alive.

To the person who trusted me with this commission—thank you. You didn’t just give me work… you gave me a way back to myself. 🎨💛

✨Final Project of 2024✨I’m thrilled to unveil my latest mural, painted in the Emergency Services Building!
