I spent too much time thinking I needed to know MORE before I could confidently talk about this business.

More experience.
More results.
More knowledge.
More proof that I knew what I was doing.

Because who was I to guide someone else when I was still learning myself?

Unpopular opinion: you don’t have to sacrifice your time with your kids to build a better financial future for them. 🀍

As a single mom, I already know what it’s like to have every minute of the day accounted for.

I work. I parent. I make dinner, clean up, manage the never-ending list of things that need to get done, and somehow try to find a little time for myself in between.

My boys get the evenings.
They get the weekends.
They get the version of me that’s trying to be present, even when my brain has 47 other tabs open. πŸ˜‚

And yes, I want to be able to give them a good life. I want financial breathing room. I want more options. I want to be able to say yes to experiences without immediately calculating what it means for my budget.

But I don’t want to get there by taking on another job that means even LESS time with them.

That’s a big part of why I started building an online business.

Not because I think it’s effortless. Not because success is guaranteed. And definitely not because I have endless free time.

I’m learning how to build something alongside the life I already have, one step at a time.

Thanksgiving looks a little different when you’re in the thick of raising little humans. πŸ§‘πŸ‚

Some days, gratitude looks like the big things. The milestones, the memories, the people who show up for you.

And some days, it looks like two little boys laughing until they can’t breathe. Tiny hands reaching for mine. Bedtime cuddles that last a little longer than they should. A quiet moment after the chaos when I realize how lucky I am to be their mom.

Life isn’t perfect. I have hard days. I worry about money, juggle a million responsibilities, and sometimes feel like I’m running on empty.

But I’m learning that gratitude doesn’t mean pretending everything is easy. It means finding the good in the middle of it all.

This Thanksgiving, I’m grateful for my boys, for the people who love us, for the little moments I know I’ll miss someday, and for the opportunity to keep building a life that feels like mine, too.

Because the goal isn’t to have a perfect life. It’s to be present enough to notice the beautiful one you’re already living. 🀎

Because I know what it feels like to look at your life and think…

I need more income.

But I also need more time.

More time with my kids.
More breathing room.
More flexibility.
More space to actually enjoy the life I’m working so hard to provide.

And as a single mom, β€œjust work more” isn’t exactly a solution.

I was already teaching full-time. I was already raising my boys. I was already responsible for keeping everything moving.

I didn’t want another job.

I didn’t want to create something from scratch, spend hours trying to figure out technology, or become an expert in something I didn’t have time to learn.

I needed something that was mostly done for me.

Something legitimate.
Something ethical.
Something I could plug into from wherever I was.
Something that could work around my life instead of requiring me to rearrange my life around it.

And honestly? I wasn’t even actively looking for a business when I found this.

I came across it at a time when I was craving more options, more flexibility, and a little more breathing room.

And I started wondering…

Happy World Teachers’ Day 🍎❀️

To the teachers who show up even when they’re exhausted.

To the ones who spend their evenings and weekends planning, marking, answering emails, making resources, and thinking about the kid who seemed a little off that day.

To the teachers who buy things for their classrooms with their own money.

Who learn 30+ different personalities, needs, strengths, struggles, and stories and somehow try to make every single one of them feel seen.

To the teachers who are carrying their own s**t while still being a safe place for everyone else.

I see you.

Teaching is so much more than standing in front of a classroom. It is emotional labour, mental labour, creativity, patience, problem-solving, relationship-building, and a whole lot of giving.

And I hope today you remember that you are more than what you can give your students.

Your worth isn’t measured by how much you sacrifice.

You don’t have to run yourself into the ground to prove that you care.

And you are allowed to want a life outside of your classroom, too.

So today, I’m celebrating teachers not just for what we do…

but for who we are. ❀️

More time.
More freedom.
More opportunities.
More out of life than just getting through the week and doing it all over again on Monday.

You don’t have to wait until you’re completely burnt out to make a change.

You don’t have to wait until your kids are older.
You don’t have to wait until the timing is perfect.
And you definitely don’t need someone else to agree that your dreams are worth pursuing.

Especially as a mom, it can feel like every decision has to revolve around everyone else. The kids, the bills, the job, the responsibilities.

And somewhere along the way, we start putting ourselves at the bottom of the list.

I know that feeling.

As a single mom and a teacher, I knew I wanted to create more financial breathing room for my family. But I also knew I didn’t want to take on another job that meant spending even less time with my boys.

That’s part of what led me to building an online business.

Not because I have everything figured out. Not because it’s always easy. But because I’m willing to explore what’s possible instead of assuming this is just how life has to be.

And that’s what I want you to think about.

What if you stopped asking yourself whether you’re allowed to want more and started asking yourself what you could do to create it?

You can be grateful for the life you’ve built AND want something different.

Both can be true. ❀️

I used to think I needed to feel more confident before I could do something different.

More sure of myself.
More knowledgeable.
More prepared.
More certain it would actually work.

But if I had waited until I felt completely ready to start building my online business, I’m not sure I ever would have started.

Because the truth is, I was scared.

I was a single mom with two little boys, working as a teacher, trying to figure out how to create another source of income without taking even more time away from my kids.

I had questions. I had doubts. I was skeptical. And I definitely didn’t have everything figured out.

But I knew I wanted something to change.

So I started learning.

I asked questions.
I got support.
I took things one step at a time.
And I kept going, even when I wasn’t entirely sure of myself.

I’m still learning. I’m still growing. I’m still figuring things out.

But I’ve realized that confidence isn’t always something you need BEFORE you begin. Sometimes, it’s something you build along the way.

You don’t have to be fearless.
You don’t have to know everything.
You don’t have to be certain of the outcome.

You can be scared.
You can be skeptical.
You can be unsure.

Just don’t let waiting until you feel ready become the reason you never give yourself a chance. 🀍
