Fire Prevention Week is Oct 4-10th! This year’s theme is Charge into Fire Safety. Here’s a few good tips to help make safe charging your superpower!
• Use only the manufacturer-approved charger and cord that came with your device.
• Charge devices on hard, flat, non-flammable surfaces like a desk or floor—never on beds, couches, or under pillows.
• Unplug devices and chargers as soon as they are fully charged.
• Charge large e-mobility items like e-bikes, scooters, and power tools outside or away from exit paths and combustible materials.
• Avoid overloading wall outlets or power strips.
