Regeneration has always been rooted in the values farming was built on. Stewardship of the land, responsibility to the next generation, and the understanding that healthy soil is the foundation of everything that follows.

These are not abstract ideas. They are reflected in the decisions made every season, by how inputs are selected, how fields are managed, and how growers balance long-term resilience with short-term productivity.

At its core, farming has always been about working with the land in a way that leaves it better, stronger, and more capable for the future.

It has also always been about honest work, which demands resiliency, dedication, and pride. The kind that feeds families, supports communities, and carries deep respect for the relationship between labour and land. That relationship deserves to be strengthened, not compromised.

‘Squid Juice’ fits within that same reality. It supports strong crop performance and high-yield potential while improving the biological efficiency of the system beneath it, helping ensure that the work invested in the field translates more fully into results at harvest.

It does not ask growers to choose between productivity and responsible management. It is designed to support both.

Our Agronomist Av Singh will be speaking at the Grow Up Conference & Expo in Toronto from June 1–3, alongside Scott Golem of the Horticultural and Environmental Sciences Innovation Centre at Niagara College.

Av brings a practical, cultivation focused approach to cannabis production, with an emphasis on plant health, nutrient efficiency, and driving consistent, high quality yields in controlled environments.

Scott, who oversaw the Niagara College cannabis trials with ‘Squid Juice’, adds a strong research backed perspective to the discussion.

We are looking forward to an innovative and forward thinking conference. We hope to see you there.

Spring: Building the Foundation
Early season applications focus on preparing the plant and the soil for the season ahead.

Because Squid Juice is powered by chitin, it helps stimulate beneficial soil microbes, especially chitinase producing organisms that contribute to healthier root zones and natural pathogen suppression. This creates stronger biological activity right as soils wake up and crops begin establishing.

Spring applications can support:

Improved root development and early plant vigor

Stronger microbial activity in the rhizosphere

Reduced pressure from soil borne pathogens and nematodes

Better nutrient cycling and nutrient availability

Early plant defense priming before stress arrives

Rather than acting like a traditional fertilizer, ‘Squid Juice’ helps build the biological foundation that supports stronger crops from the start.

Farmer’s Forum recently highlighted a growing concern across North American agriculture. Fertilizer costs are rising, supply chains remain unpredictable, and producers are being asked to do more with less. How do you maintain strong yields without watching profitability disappear into input costs?

‘Squid Juice’ offers a solution built for exactly that challenge.

A local product powered by beta-chitin, ‘Squid Juice’ supports stronger soil biology, improved nutrient availability, and healthier root systems that help crops perform more efficiently from the ground up.

It also helps reduce pressure from nematodes and soil & root diseases while supporting stronger natural plant defenses, helping reduce dependence on expensive pesticide and fungicide programs.

This is not about replacing fertility. It is about making your fertility program work smarter.

Better efficiency. Stronger resilience. Better margins.

Meet Blaine Hitchens, winner of the 2025 Delaware Soybean Board Yield Contest. He achieved a record-breaking 106.68 bushels per acre using 'Squid Juice', after being introduced to it by our distribution partner Sabbath Soils, earning a spot in the 100-Bushel Club. Here’s what Blaine had to say about 'Squid Juice’s' impact on his Soybean Crops;

"In 2024, I was introduced to a new product from Sabbath Soils that contained squid fertilizer. He explained the benefits of this product and how it would enhance our crop. We added the product to our in-furrow program and were pleasantly surprised.

Throughout the growing season, it was clear that something positive was happening in our field. As shown in the photos, this crop has demonstrated excellent health and vigour. We used the squid again as our fungicide treatment; a few days after applying it, I noticed that Japanese beetles, which had been present earlier, were no longer in the field. This experience, with the help from Jason and Jacob, has led me to discover a new program for excellent plant health and insect control without relying on synthetic products that are less environmentally friendly.

This is just the beginning of making our Delaware farm thrive. I am excited for what’s to come!”

The 'Squid Juice' approach is rooted in respect, for the earth, and for the materials we work with.
We use nutrient-dense byproduct from calamari processing, giving new purpose to what would otherwise be discarded.

More than half of each squid never makes it to a plate. By redirecting that material, we are able to return those nutrients to the soil through a regenerative process that supports plant and ecosystem health.

To us, this is about gratitude and responsibility. Using what already exists, minimizing waste, and creating something that gives back.
