Last weekend, I attended my very first Gather & Grow in Vancouver. I went there ready to learn, listen, and experience the community in person—and I came home with reflections that went beyond what I expected.

My very first Gather & Grow Vancouver—and what an experience. 🇨🇦🌱

More than 500 people were part of the event, with over 430 attending in person and 75+ joining virtually. Being surrounded by that many people who came from different backgrounds, different places, and different stages of their business journey was something special.

But what impacted me most was hearing their individual stories.

You see where they are today—the confidence, the leadership, the success—and sometimes it’s easy to forget that they had a beginning too.

They had fears. They questioned themselves. They made mistakes. They had moments when things didn’t work the way they hoped.

And I found myself thinking…

They started somewhere too. So why not me? 🥹

I may still be building. I may still be learning. I definitely don’t have everything figured out. 😅 But when I compare myself to the woman who started this journey, I can already see the difference.

I’m becoming more confident.
More disciplined.
More willing to step outside my comfort zone.
And most importantly, more hopeful and excited about what I can create for my future. 💚

That’s one of the biggest things I brought home from my first Gather & Grow:

Don’t compare your beginning to someone else’s years of experience. Learn from their story, keep working on yours, and give yourself the chance to see where it can take you. 🌱

So grateful I said yes to this experience—and yes, I’m still talking about Vancouver. 😅😂🤣💚
