16 years. Over 100 weddings. Countless families, babies, milestones, celebrations and moments frozen in time. 🤍
It’s hard to put into words what photography has given me. It taught me how to run a business, problem solve when things don’t go according to plan, and find the magic in the in-between moments—the ones that often become the core memory.
It gave this semi-introvert confidence. I went from being terrified to speak in front of a group to wrangling entire wedding parties and families! It taught me that I’m capable. That I can be good at things. And that our gifts don’t always have to be loud or obvious to be valuable.
Most importantly, it taught me how much I love people. Listening to them, helping them, making them feel comfortable, solving problems and giving them something meaningful.
Photography gave me the confidence and skills to eventually step into real estate. So much of who I am in my career today was built behind a camera first.
But life has seasons, and in this one, I know I need to take a step back from photography.
My kids need me. I’m planning my own wedding, stepping into the beautiful new chapter of blending our family, and have a full-time career. I’ve realized I can’t give my best to everything when I’m trying to do everything.
And this decision is emotional, because I love photography. So much. I’ve been dreading making it as I love my clients and want to be able to continue documenting for them, but also know this needs to happen.
This isn’t goodbye forever. But it’s a pause for now🤍
To every person who trusted me with their wedding day, their babies, their families and their memories—thank you. For choosing me, trusting me, recommending me, growing with me and, in so many cases, becoming lifelong friends.
Without you, I truly wouldn’t be where I am today.
For now, I’m giving myself permission to set the camera down and be fully present for the life happening on the other side of it.
