🚀 MBC YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR PROJECT 🚀
McLean Business Consulting is launching the MBC Young Entrepreneur Project — a new community initiative designed to support one motivated young entrepreneur in Sarnia-Lambton with a completely pro bono business project.
🎓 The primary focus is on HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS who are already running a small business, selling a product or service, or seriously working toward launching something of their own.
The goal is simple:
Help a young entrepreneur move beyond just having an idea and start building a business that is actually ready to operate.
The selected student will work directly with McLean Business Consulting to build the practical foundation behind their business.
Depending on the business and what it needs, that may include:
💡 Clarifying the business idea and offer
🛠️ Figuring out how the business will actually operate
👥 Mapping the customer experience
📋 Building simple processes, checklists, and procedures
💻 Setting up basic systems and organization
📦 Planning how orders, services, or fulfilment will work
📁 Organizing business information and documentation
📈 Creating clear priorities and a practical launch or growth plan
🚀 Making sure the business is operationally ready to launch and grow
This is not just a one-time advice session.
The goal is to work alongside the student and actually help build the systems, structure, and processes behind the business.
The student will also be guided through the key areas they need to think about when setting up a real business — including registration, banking, insurance, taxes, and other startup considerations — with specialist advice referred to the appropriate professionals where needed.
💰 There is no consulting fee for the selected project.
I’m looking for a student who:
✨ Has a business or idea they are serious about
✨ Has already started or is actively preparing to launch
✨ Is willing to show up and do the work
✨ Is open to learning and feedback
✨ Wants to understand what it really takes to operate a business
✨ Wants to build something they can be proud of
📍 Priority will be given to high school students in Sarnia-Lambton, although college and university students with an early-stage business are also welcome to apply.
For applicants under 18, a parent or guardian will need to be involved in the application and approval process.
