Nearly two years ago, I decided that YouTube was the best platform to share my content. So, I started filming videos on different business startup and management topics at my office.
Today I published my 300th video which is where I plan to stop, aside from remaking some old videos.
This was an interesting lesson in progress. Since starting, I gained a lot more knowledge in my field, got better at video editing, added an intro video, improved my camera positioning, was more mindful of lighting during filming, improved my video thumbnails, and was more strategic about my wording in the videos.
Even though I was already fairly comfortable in front of the camera, knowledgeable in my field, and capable of editing, there were things that I could not have known and could not have learned until I actually started DOING.
We will never be perfectly ready for anything. Experience is the best teacher and there are things we cannot know, cannot learn, and cannot improve until we take action and get hands-on experience.
