WHERE ON EARTH DO WE EVEN BEGIN WITH THIS HUMAN?!

Tell us: do you know JULIA MCCABE WELLNESS? If you don’t…you’re about to.

Julia brings over TWENTY years of experience blending storytelling, teaching, neuroscience, psychology and human behaviour into experiences that make people think, feel and probably question a few things too. With a background in Kinesiology and postgraduate studies in Neuroscience, Psychology and Mental Health, she has led trainings and retreats around the world, teaching everything from mindfulness-based stress reduction to neuroscience and leadership development.

The qualifications are impressive. The experience is impressive. The knowledge is VERY impressive. But what we love most about Julia is the way she makes people FEEL.

In true Julia fashion, when we asked her what exactly she would deliver at FEAST, she said: “I don’t know what exactly I’ll deliver on October 25, but I’ll sure as hell make people feel something.”

What more could we want?! Leading with a feeling is how we roll.

It is very, very fitting that Julia is joining us at FEAST because that is exactly what this day is about. Not sitting quietly in a room being talked at. Not another polished business conference where you take 47 notes and forget 46 of them by Monday.

We are here to FEEL something. To think differently. To breathe. To get uncomfortable. To laugh. To connect. To have conversations that stay with us long after we leave.

We had a vision for Thursday’s dinner.

A long table.
Blue checked tablecloths.
A certain colour of napkin.

And apparently, the universe had something else completely in store for us when our delivery arrived.

So we rolled with it.

Because when you actually think about it, none of it really matters.

We followed the feeling we wanted to bring forward.

And look at the gorgeous evening we ended up with.

These beautiful round tables created something we never could have planned - smaller pockets of conversation, people leaning in, strangers becoming friends, and a room that felt incredibly warm and connected.

Sometimes you have a vision.

And sometimes you just need to let go of it all and let it be what it’s meant to be.

All that really matters is that we know the feeeeeling we want to bring to our tables.

And we think it turned out pretty beautifully🤍

Outdoor equipment stores. Bookstores. Meat grocers. Ice cream shops. Railways. Clothing stores. And of course, so many wildly creative spaces in between.

One of our favourite things about DINE WILDER is that we get to bring dinner into places you’d never expect to sit down for a meal.

We’ve had the absolute honour of gathering around tables in some seriously cool spaces, and every time we’re reminded how much magic happens when you take dinner somewhere a little unexpected. We love the unexpected.

There are still so many places we’re dreaming about…

But we want to know: if you could have a dinner anywhere, where would it be?

Did you know 45% of our dinner guests have alcohol-free in their glasses?

That’s almost half the table!

Which means when we set up the bar, alcohol-free isn’t the little afterthought hiding in the corner. It’s part of the plan from the beginning, poured into a proper glass, with intention, and very much invited to the party.

That’s why we love working with Terravista Vineyards for the wine drinkers, and SANSORIUM™ for everyone who wants the ritual, the glass, the toast… just without the alcohol.

Both brands care about flavour and craft in a way that actually shows up in the glass. And honestly we're obsesseddd

Nobody needs a drink in their hand to have a good time at our table.

But if you want one - alcoholic or not - we’ve made sure it’s a really, really good one ✨

DIANA IS SPEAKING AT FEAST.

Diana Dinh is a life insurance strategist, entrepreneur, TEDx speaker and mother of four, and she is bringing a conversation to FEAST that we think is going to land for a lot of women in the room.

Her TEDx talk, The Recognition Gap, looks at the connection between motherhood and leadership, and the extraordinary skills women develop through raising children that rarely make it onto a CV or get called “leadership.”

Decision-making. Resilience. Negotiation. Emotional intelligence. The ability to hold a thousand moving pieces at once.

Diana’s work asks us to look again at what leadership actually looks like, and to recognise that we may already be practising it every single day.

Because sometimes the next step isn’t becoming someone different.

It’s finally seeing what is already there.

And honestly, this feels very FEAST, very Dine Wilder to us.

You’re going to love Diana. Not just for what she’s bringing to the FEAST stage, or even for the wealth of knowledge and life insurance experience you’ll soak up by following her, but for her break the rules mentality and the damn funny humour she brings to the way she teaches.

October 25. 108 women. Squamish.

We can never tell you exactly what’s going to happen at one of our dinners.

Most people show up not knowing a single soul in the room.

By the end of the night, that’s rarely still true.

We can’t tell you exactly how that happens. We just know it does, almost every time.

But isn’t that whole point?

Perfection - it’s never something we strive for.

From the glasswear to the chairs, the content of the conversation to the questions we encourage our guests to ask. It’s so clear we’re all tired of it. On socials and even more so in real life.

Never is that felt more than at Wilder Side of Business panel events.

We don’t attempt to draw you in with a hook of false promise that we’re going to send you home with life changing skills to upend your career and deliver your highest revenue year. What we do claim is to be a safe place for conversation.

We’re unafraid to bring the topics to the table and hold space for the questions and opinions you might not feel comfortable asking or sharing elsewhere.

Thank you Green Olive for welcoming us with open arms as we explored what going the extra mile means to each of us fiercely ambitious about our careers and our clients✨
