As another ECE week comes to an end, I am grateful for my colleagues in this field. I have had the honour to meet so many of them through continued Education opportunities. Through virtual summits and support groups.

Learning never stops, it just begins in the Early Years.

And of course, I hold a special place in my heart for all of the Littles I have cared for in my lifetime.

"Happy Moon why are you smiling?"

Back in 2019 I was introduced to Danny Go!

If you are not already familiar with this man and have young children, look him up.

When I started this program, we did have a TV. He was a relief in the worst weather.

When we made changes to what area is used in my home, I made the decision to go screen free. The Littles still danced along without the images.

He continues to be a constant in my music rotations.

In the past few weeks, I have played his videos more than ever. As his family was and is going through the unthinkable.

They have announced the passing of their child.

I truly hope his family will have all the support they need in the future.

After all, they are the "Bravest Knight."

The last few days have been so lovely outside. From finding ladybugs, worms, rolling bugs, spiders, ants and slugs with the Littles. Using chalk to draw what we could see outside and an obstacle course.
To making mud pies with my own child. Getting soaked in a creek. Rolling in grass to find worms. A hike over mud and snow covered paths.

And then the calm before the next storm.

Today we had both snacks outside, found rocks that had managed to find a way from their designated areas in the yard over the Winter. Lastly, crawled the yard looking for the little pods that could become trees.

Soon our little sprouts from inside will be able to go outside.

That is after the final frost has come. Back to Jackets and snow pants I believe the next few days.

April 2nd, World Autism Day

It's wonderful to have a spotlighted day for acceptance. The reality is we should be accepting and understanding of everyone.

We also need to be mindful of our limits and of others as well.

What works for one, may not be the same for another.

I included a photo of four books in the Jumping Foxes library. Four books that are not written about Autism. Rather about being accepting and seeing a different perspective.

I find children of all ages can truly benefit from literacy skills of all developmental areas through stories and pictures.

I do have a few books I want to add to our Library. I always have a running wishlist of books and topics I want to add.

If you have any books you want to suggest I add, please comment or send me a message. Can be any topic!

Magical March is coming to an end. I have been very happy to see the signs of Spring between the storms we have had.

Seasons come and go. Each Season with its own special moments.

For my household, we each have " Our Season." Mine is Spring. March makes me happy. It's another cycle of a Year. As happy as I was to welcome it, I hold the same for welcoming April tomorrow.
