What a complex share. I’ve been drafting this post for a while and have been conflicted in a variety of ways. May this collage serve as an expression of that complexity.

What to say, when so much still needs to be done?

What to say, when the world still doesn’t address feminism from an intersectional perspective?

What I can say is how much I love being a woman and how honoured I am to be in the presence of so many amazing women. There are so many powerful, bold, and unapologetic women I’m proud to know that teach me something new every day. I am in awe of the women who have knocked down walls and paved the way for the women of today, from the cover girls to the pioneers of business; the artists and the change-makers.

While I acknowledge the problems and hurdles we still face, I take comfort in knowing how many bad-ass women are here today to make impactful changes and shatter the glass ceilings above us.

Two things can be true at once. This is something my therapist tells me a lot, and I’ve applied it like hot sauce (on everything) ever since. Let’s apply, move and conquer.

I originally wrote this on LinkedIn as a part of January challenge… but also thought this was a great WELCOME BACK + HAPPY 2023 post!

Here’s to a new year with no more and WAY more content sharing 😅

Starting things off with 5 fun facts about myself. For those that don't know me personally, this one's for you! 🌟

1. I started CULTR. in the hopes of making social media and digital marketing easy for everyone. I've learned a lot about influencer marketing, what makes social *tick*, and creating accessible content over the last few years and I will continue to (and more consistently) share my learnings with you all.

2. I have three dogs! - They're my pride and joy and remind me daily to *paws* and see the little joys in life. A lot of my inspiration comes from spending time with them, nature and a long walk so I most definitely have them to thank.

3. I am a true crime / conspiracy podcast addict - if you have any recos *please* let me know. I find they're a great exercise for the brain in critical thinking + sparking thoughtful discussions - and dreaming of when I wanted to become a lawyer, before I discovered PR of course.😌

4. You can often find me reading or drawing/painting. I think the importance of a creative escape/outlet is so often overlooked or forgotten about once we enter adulthood. Art has always been my driving force and the core foundation even of my career, so this isn't really a surprise, but I like to encourage everyone to find their 'art' - whatever that may look like.

5. My passions live in and - find me on a yoga mat, fine-tuning my skincare routine or walking around with three baskets at Sephora. Your and how you care for your body, mind and soul translates into how we operate at work, with those we love, and beyond.

I hope this post was as enjoyable for you to read as it was for me to write. I can't wait to share more with you all, especially when it comes to all things , , and everything in between (hint: ).

Social media can be a fun, care-free (at least mildly) opportunity for everyone to be their own content creator; to share their thoughts, lives and Instagrammable-plates. 📱🍔

But is there a darker side to popular media and even specifically social media? 💭

Do you feel they are affecting your mental health? Have they impacted society as a whole, and which way?

I'm interested in your thoughts. Is it an opportunity for us to change the way we shape our society? Or are we too far gone into the unachievable ideal aesthetics of the algorithm? (WHAT DOES IT WANT?)

okay, I’m back, and I promise I have a good explanation.

the last few months have been wild to say the very least. we went through a very terrible, bad, no-good situation re: agency life in Toronto being a sh*tshow of toxicity - then found solace in realizing it was the universe pointing in the right direction (aka finding my dream agency, team and new friends). if you’re going through something similar, please know it’s all for a bigger reason. 🤝🏽

all to say - I’m in my happy place! I have an epic team at my full-time job that genuinely cares for each other and has an ethical core. we also happen to kick ass at PR.😌

I’ve been soaking up sun and reimagining my plans for the future. I’m feeling creative again. I’m back, and promise to bring even better content, insights, bts of some super cool clients and MORE. I’ve even added new services to my roster which I’ll announce soon.👀

all to say, again, if you’ve held on this journey with me - thank you. your support means the world and we’re just getting started. let’s reinvent your brand + biz together, k?

Where have I been? That's one secret I'll never tell. You know you love me, xoxo... CULTR. Girl.

Kidding - I've been wrestling sickness, stress and being completely overwhelmed with starting a new biz. But I'm here! And life is wild and grand, especially with spring in full bloom.

Did I go to Coachella? No. But spiritually, yes?
