Happy birthday to my sassa. ( it’s our inside language for sister ). Tyra is 37 today ( EXPOSED!). Her name was also previously Dick Tracy ( entire self proclaimed at age 7). She is the most amazing, inspiring sister / aunt/ daughter/ le***an magician there ever was.

When I was about 4 and she was 6 , it was very clear we were set on two different paths. I wanted the Barbie dream house and she wanted the Ninja Turtle Pizza army tank and that’s how we knew- she wasn’t down for the regular scheduled programming. She was cooler than the rest of the kids on the block. My sister today is a self taught multi-disciplinary super human. If you YouTube “ Tyra from Saigon” , you may begin to read that she is one of the most low key skilled female turntablist m- ever and (entirely self taught) . Also she’s a digital branding wizard, being the creator of and a few successful consumer brands. She turned down Facebook, Tyra Banks and Pharrell Williams in opportunities to DJ live for their events - with the quote “ hell nah- that life ain’t for me”. She’s cut with natural talent, a total introvert and the master of anything she sets out to do. The exact opposite of my ADD ass. Whether it’s producing her own music ( where she plays keyboard, guitar, synth- a beat maker ... the list goes on), or its making the best damn breakfast burritos ever ... she really throws down.

I wish this sh*tty whirlwind of pandemic was keeping us almost now 1 year from being apart where you’re missing the girls grow out of their previous age, but I’m missing you like crazy and wishing you a birthday filled with all the melted Rilakkuma figurines on a Japanese ice cream cake as you put on for me.
We love you- Tommy, Matisse, I do- oh and Alaïa too even though events may have suggested otherwise. Happy birthday Schmoot Onty Sklyer.
