Hello, to all of my awesome Shmartees. How are all of you and your families doing? I hope you are all safe, healthy, happy, and your lives are full of love. I don't use social media as much anymore, but I sincerely hope that you are all doing well.

I just wanted to give you all an update on my film submission to TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival).

They responded to me and told me that I was not accepted, BUT as the proverb goes, "when one door closes, another opens."

So, even though my film will not be screened at the festival, just because I have a feature film and I submitted it to the festival, they offered me a huge discount on an Industry Pass with Professional Accreditation to take part in the Film Festival this year.

This may not sound like a big deal, but it is huge for me. I have literally been trying to get an Industry Pass and Professional Accreditation for a long time.

So, I was definitely meant to submit my film to TIFF otherwise I would never have gotten this opportunity.

I am grateful, first and foremost, to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

And then secondly, I am soooo grateful to all of YOU, my dear family and friends for joining me on this journey from the beginning. It has been 8 years of my life and you have all been here with me. Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart.

This Industry Pass gives me access to events with Distributors, and Marketers, which is exactly what I need. I will be able to pitch my movie, and God willing, someone will buy it, and launch it for all of you to see it on either a streaming platform, or cable TV, or online.

I will keep you all posted if someone picks it up at TIFF.

I love you all so much. God bless you always. Big hugs and kisses. Spread the LOVE! xoxo 🙏😘💖😻

Hi Shmartees. How are all of you doing? It has been ages since we last were in touch. I stopped using social media for a while. I sincerely pray that all of you and your families are doing well.

I'm sorry that you haven't heard from me in a while regarding my film, "Preconceived Perception." To be honest, a lot has happened in my life; Deaths in my family, Crypto Currency scams and losing thousands of dollars, Depression, Poor health, but I am not here to complain. I am here to tell you all some good news.

I have finally come back to life and out of the dark night of the soul and I'm back on the road to getting my movie out there so that all of you can see it, as you have all so patiently waited for. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your continued support and loyalty. It means so much to me. I am eternally grateful to all you for sticking around.

So, here's the update. I submitted my film to TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) in the Canadian Features section of the film festival.

In order to do that submission, it meant that I had to go back into the editing room after 2 years and revisit my film. I also had to find the money to pay for the submission to the festival, and to do the marketing and distribution part. So, here we are.

I never give up, it's just not in my nature, but sometimes I need an extended hiatus to sort myself out so that I can be functional again. I am blessed that God's timing is not my timing or else I would have missed the boat.

So, I am now on a mission to release my film in the best place for its highest and greatest good so that it will touch as many lives as possible and hopefully make a positive difference in the world.
I will keep you all posted on any further developments that happen regarding this film.

Thank you all very much. Sending big hugs and lots of love always. Spread the Love. xoxo 🙏❤️

Hi ShMarTees. I'm sorry for not updating you sooner. I have been very reflective recently, so please excuse me if I am going to be waxing philosophical for just a brief moment here. Like everyone else on the planet, I have had to hit the pause button on normal life. That has included completing my film, "Preconcieved Perception," which, for a while, I contemplated not finishing. It seemed to pale in comparison to the greater priority of saving lives, of valuing human relationships, of our connection with the planet and all living things, of our compassion and love for each other. Suddenly, my movie seemed so insignificant, and frankly, outdated, out of touch with reality, and irrelevant. It seemed like its time had passed; like it was not worth it to complete it. However, then I saw some things that made me realize the message of this movie is timeless. And we need it now more than ever. My film, "Preconceived Perception," is about living in harmony with each other, working together as a species, treating our fellow human beings as we want to be treated, and ultimately, about loving each other more. So, I WILL finish this movie and it will be forever connected to the world before and after COVID-19, but the message will resonate more after all that we have gone through. Thank you all for your continued support and love. Lots of love to all of you. God bless. Stay safe. 🙏🏼❤🤗👍🏼

Hello my awesome Shmartees. I hope everyone is doing amazingly! So, I need your advice. I am in limbo with the progress of my movie right now. There are 2 vicious cycles happening simultaneously that are keeping me in a holding pattern and preventing me from progressing.

1.) I can't get the special effects done on my movie until I cut down my movie, but I don't have enough time to sit down and go through the movie in order to decide which frames to cut out. I am working 14 - 18 hours a day, and I work on the weekends too. So there is no time to do that. Hmmm! What can I do?

2.) I can't sing the song I composed for the end credits because my vocal cords are severely damaged with scar tissue and the only way to heal them is to stop talking for 3 to 6 months. However, my job as a teacher requires me to talk and I have to work for so many hours to pay for my movie's expenses in the thousands of dollars. So, I can't stop working, but I need to stop in order to sing the song for my movie. Hmmm! What should I do?

I would love to hear some suggestions from you beautiful people. Thank you all so much. God bless you all! Love, Shannon 😍😘❤💖

Hey my beautiful Shmartees, I hope you are all doing well. I have some good news to tell you. I was feeling frustrated having to wait for the post production company I'm trying to work with get back to me and set a date to get the special effects put into my movie. I am meeting with them next week Tuesday. I have a Fimmakers Grant with the company, "Urban Post." They did the special effects for the TV series, "Orphan Black." I finally feel like my movie will be done soon. It feels like this meeting will get the ball rolling! xoxo 😘😍❤💖

Hey ShMarTees, I am waiting to hear back from Urban Post Production to see if I can get some Special Effects put into my movie, Preconceived Perception. The wait is terrible, because I asked for a quote and I need to see if I have the funds in my budget. What do you beautiful people do when you feel anxious? . 😍😘
