A client reference:
During late 2013 and early 2014, Gerry Purcell was engaged by Reliance Home Comfort to provide an outside opinion on our historical organizational structure and the options for change that we were considering at the time.
This was a complex process involving multiple interviews and workshops with key management and staff to:
• Clarify the long term vision of the organization
• Understand Reliance’s culture, critical mandates and structures, and their history and rationale
• Assess fit-for-purpose of current structures and their potential scalability, with a view to lay the foundation for future acquisitions
• Ensure that brand, customer experience, process efficiency, employee satisfaction and product profitability were reinforced by the proposed structure
• Complete an overview of the pros and cons, gaps and challenges of the proposed model
• Develop a high level future organization design (2 levels down), and
• Prepare a high level roadmap for the implementation of the recommended structure
Gerry and his team came up the curve quickly and developed a solid understanding of our core businesses. Clearly skilled at working in close collaboration with key members of my team, they designed a structure that was well aligned with our strategy, driven by a robust fact base, and responsive to a number of ongoing strategic issues.
It is now been about 12 months since we received Gerry’s recommendations, and about 6 six months following their implementation. We are very pleased with the outcome.
I would have no reservations in recommending Gerry to assist you in dealing with critical organizational development issues that you may face from time to time.
