So proud of my fellow members at Glassworks Cooperative! The surgery I had last week meant I could t do as much as I normally would, but with amazing people like Anne, Zoe, Megan and Kelsie we rallied the rest of the members! Wahoo!

The Glassworks Co-operative membership, which has grown by about 30% since the last members' meeting in October, tonight voted to delay any decision to sell their current property.

More than half of the money required to pay off the current mortgage on the 46 acre property in the northeast of Owen Sound has been pledged by members and supporters in the past 7 days.

87% of members present voted in favour of putting in abeyance the decision to sell, buying the Co-operative time to make the best decision for the future of their vision for sustainable housing in this community.

Members will meet again November 7.
