My first cucuzza of the season reserved for seed harvest. Already 6'3" long. I just picked a 4'6" one this morning to produce base for minestrone. The kids are full of anticipation.

This is a offspring of the 3 seeds I found in my dad's garage. They were dormant for atleast 20 years and as long as 50 years when they were brought from Sicily.

I planted them last year and was able to produce about 200 seeds. This year I'm expecting twice that and am going to exchange some for other heritage seeds.
