অ্যাসোসিয়েশন অব বাংলাদেশি ইঞ্জিনিয়ার্স অ্যান্ড আর্কিটেক্টস অব অন্টারিও (ABEO) আজ টরন্টোস্থ বাংলাদেশ কনসুলেট জেনারেলের মাধ্যমে গণপ্রজাতন্ত্রী বাংলাদেশ সরকারের মাননীয় প্রধান উপদেষ্টার নিকট প্রকৌশলীদের মর্যাদা ও স্বীকৃতি সংক্রান্ত একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ স্মারকলিপি হস্তান্তর করেছে।

স্মারকলিপিতে বাংলাদেশে গ্র্যাজুয়েট ও ডিপ্লোমা ইঞ্জিনিয়ারদের পেশাগত পরিচয় ও স্বীকৃতি নিয়ে বিদ্যমান সংকটের সমাধানে কিছু গুরুত্বপূর্ণ প্রস্তাবনা উপস্থাপন করা হয়। এর মধ্যে উল্লেখযোগ্য হলো—

আন্তর্জাতিক মানদণ্ড অনুযায়ী “ইঞ্জিনিয়ার” উপাধি শুধুমাত্র স্বীকৃত বি.এসসি. ইঞ্জিনিয়ারদের জন্য সংরক্ষণ এবং ডিপ্লোমা ইঞ্জিনিয়ারদের জন্য পৃথক শিরোনাম নির্ধারণ।

ডিপ্লোমা ইঞ্জিনিয়ারদের পদোন্নতিতে ৩৩% কোটা সংরক্ষণ, তবে শর্তসাপেক্ষে IEB থেকে MIE সম্পন্ন করা বাধ্যতামূলক।

গ্রেড-৯ পদে উন্মুক্ত প্রতিযোগিতার মাধ্যমে নিয়োগ নিশ্চিতকরণ।

দ্রুত IEB কাঠামোগত সংস্কার বাস্তবায়ন।

স্মারকলিপি গ্রহণকালে টরন্টোস্থ বাংলাদেশ কনসাল জেনারেল জনাব মোঃ ফারুক হোসেন বিষয়টিকে গুরুত্ব সহকারে বিবেচনা করেন এবং মাননীয় প্রধান উপদেষ্টার নিকট প্রেরণের আশ্বাস প্রদান করেন।

আজ দুপুর ১২টা ১৫ মিনিটে কনসুলেট জেনারেল অফিসে স্মারকলিপিটি আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে হস্তান্তর করেন ABEO সভাপতি ইউসুফ তালুকদার, পরিচালক (অ্যাডমিন) বজলুর ভূঁইয়া এবং সদস্য আলী তারিক ও শিরাজুল ইসলাম।

ABEO মনে করে, প্রকৌশলীদের পেশাগত পরিচয় অবশ্যই মর্যাদাপূর্ণ এবং আন্তর্জাতিক মানদণ্ডসম্মত হওয়া উচিত।
তবে, প্রতিষ্ঠানটি একইসাথে স্বীকার করে যে গ্র্যাজুয়েট ও ডিপ্লোমা উভয় শ্রেণীর প্রকৌশলীই দেশের উন্নয়নে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অবদান রেখে চলেছেন।

ABEO পুনর্ব্যক্ত করছে যে তারা

-বাংলাদেশি প্রকৌশলীদের মর্যাদা রক্ষায় সচেষ্ট থাকবে

-কর্মসংস্থানে ন্যায্যতা নিশ্চিত করবে

-আন্তর্জাতিক মান বজায় রেখে স্বীকৃতি প্রদানে কাজ করবে

-সরকারের সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষকে প্রযুক্তিগত ও নীতিগত সহায়তা প্রদান করবে।

ABEO Hosts Career Mentoring & Networking Event as Part of Its Mission to Empower Engineers

The Association of Bangladeshi Engineers in Ontario (ABEO) successfully hosted its Career Mentoring and Networking Event on June 21, 2025, at Access Point on Danforth, Scarborough.

As part of ABEO’s mission and vision to support Bangladeshi engineers in Canada, the event focused on:

Career opportunities in Ontario Power Generation, Civil, Mechanical, IT, Telecom, and Electrical Engineering

Job opportunities in Federal, Municipal, and Local Governments

P.Eng licensing pathways, graduate studies guidance, and professional certification courses.

The event provided an excellent platform for career mentoring, professional networking, and knowledge sharing among experienced professionals, newcomers, recent graduates and students of different universities of Ontario.

ABEO President YUSUF TALUKDER extends heartfelt thanks to all distinguished speakers, volunteers, and attendees for making this event impactful and meaningful.
