The concurrent investigations into the Nicole Morin case by Onset Investigation and their partners at Please Bring Me Home remain ongoing.

She is described as a Caucasian female, approximately 4 feet tall, weighing about 51 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. At the time, she wore a peach one-piece bathing suit with coloured stripes, red canvas shoes, and a green headband. Parental Abductor Chieko Teton Traced to Yokohama, Japan

TORONTO, ON — October 28, 2025 — Onset Investigation is announcing that Chieko Teton (also known as Chieko Sone), once the subject of a Canadian warrant and an Interpol Red Notice, has been traced to Yokohama, Japan. We investigated this case to attempt to renew discussions with Japanese authorities regarding the long-standing disappearance of her son, Takaya, who remains the subject of an Interpol Yellow Notice and a Toronto Police Service missing person case.

In January 2013, Chieko Teton travelled to Japan with her husband, Henrik Teton, and their son, Takaya. The family checked into the New Otani Inn in Yokohama. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Teton reported to Japanese authorities and the Canadian Embassy that his wife and child were missing from their hotel. Upon returning to Canada, Mr. Teton reported the incident to Toronto Police Service’s 52 Division, who requested the assistance of Japanese authorities to confirm his wife and son’s well-being. It was initially confirmed that both were safe, and that Ms. Teton had elected not to disclose their location. Chieko would soon become the subject of a warrant issued by the Attorney General for parental abduction and an Interpol Red Notice, neither of which led to a proper resolution.

On February 2, 2024, our investigative team uncovered credible evidence that Ms. Teton is working in childhood education in Yokohama under an assumed name. Her discovered social media activity in which she speaks about Takaya attending a private school in Japan indicates that he is alive and well.

We have shared our investigative findings with the Toronto Police Service’s Missing Persons Unit and are attempting to communicate with Japanese authorities. We are also trying to locate and speak with Henrik Teton. We hope this information will help renew discussions that shall move this long-standing case forward.

FBI Most Wanted Fugitive Gregory Robert Whitehead Traced to the Philippines

TORONTO, ON — November 3, 2025 — Onset Investigation is announcing that Gregory Robert Whitehead, who remains wanted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), was traced to the Barretto area of Olongapo City, Philippines.

In October 2007, Mr. Whitehead allegedly lured two teenage girls to his home under the pretense of offering housecleaning work. Once there, he reportedly served them alcohol, took explicit photographs, and paid them for sexual favors. He was arrested in Colorado Springs, Colorado, for charges including sexual exploitation of children, soliciting for child prostitution, inducement of child prostitution, criminal attempt to commit sexual assault, and sexual assault. On January 4, 2008, he failed to appear at a scheduled court hearing, leading to a failure to appear warrant. Subsequently, a federal warrant was issued for his arrest due to unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

On June 4, 2025, our investigative team uncovered credible information indicating that Mr. Whitehead had been residing in the Barretto area of Olongapo City, Philippines in December 2020 under the name “Chris.” During this month, he was actively involved with a local “hashing club", a recreational running and social activity. Mr. Whitehead allegedly fled the area several years later after one of the club’s members recognized him as a fugitive.

We are in the process of sharing our findings with local police stations across the Barretto area of Olongapo City and with the FBI Denver Field Office, to whom we remain grateful for their attention to this matter. Individuals with information related to this case are encouraged to contact the FBI Denver Field Office directly. They may also reach out to Onset Investigation.

Mr. Whitehead is described as a white male, born May 18, 1962, approximately 6′2″ tall and 180 lbs, with brown hair (now mostly bald) and blue eyes. He has scars on his left finger and abdomen and may wear glasses or contact lenses.

London Fugitive Ahmed Moalin-Mohammed Located in Somalia

TORONTO, ON — October 27, 2025 — Onset Investigation is announcing that Ahmed Moalin-Mohammed, who had been wanted by the London Police Service and is considered missing by Toronto Police, has been located living and working in Somalia.

Mr. Moalin-Mohammed was charged in 2006 with 13 offences, including attempted murder, three counts of aggravated assault, and firearms-related charges, after he opened fire in a parking lot near Richmond Street and Carling Street in London, Ontario, resulting in four individuals being injured. Following his failure to appear in court, a warrant was issued for his arrest, and he subsequently disappeared while out on bail in Toronto.

On March 21, 2025, our investigative team obtained credible information confirming Mr. Moalin-Mohammed’s presence in Somalia. We have communicated our investigative findings to the London Police Service's Criminal Investigation Division as well as the Toronto Police Service's Missing Persons Unit, to whom we remain grateful for their collaboration and dedication to public safety. This confirmation gives the agencies useful information to continue investigating their cases.

This case marks another step in our mission to locate missing and wanted individuals across Canada and internationally. Our organization continues to engage with a global network of law enforcement and intelligence partners, with the shared goal of assisting investigations and supporting victims’ families and communities.

Windsor Fugitive Hussein Dirie Located in Somalia

TORONTO, ON — October 20, 2025 — Onset Investigation is announcing that Hussein Dirie, who has been wanted since 2016 by the Windsor Police Service, has been located living and working in Somalia.

Mr. Dirie was charged in 2016 with multiple counts of sexual assault, sexual interference, and invitation to sexual touching involving two minors, after police alleged that he used social media to contact the victims. Following his failure to appear in court, a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On March 21, 2025, our investigative team detected credible information confirming Mr. Dirie’s presence in Somalia. However, due to the lack of formal law enforcement channels between Canada and Somalia, and the absence of an extradition treaty, it remains highly unlikely that Mr. Dirie will be returned to Canada to face his criminal charges.

We have communicated our investigative work to Windsor Police Service detectives, to whom we remain grateful for their collaboration and dedication to the pursuit of justice. While an extradition process remains highly unlikely, this finding brings long-needed clarity to a case that had remained unresolved for nearly a decade.

This case marks another step in our mission to locate missing and wanted individuals across Canada and internationally. Our organization continues to engage with a global network of law enforcement and intelligence partners, with the shared goal of assisting investigations and supporting victims’ families and communities.

Missing Person Edward D’Souza Located Safe After 18 Years

TORONTO, ON — October 8, 2025 — Onset Investigation, in collaboration with the charitable organization Please Bring Me Home, is pleased to announce that Edward D’Souza, who had been missing since October 31, 2007 from Oakville, Ontario, has been located alive and well in South Asia.

Throughout the investigation, Onset Investigation regularly updated detectives from Halton Regional Police Service, to whom we remain grateful for their collaborative efforts and their dedication to finding the missing. They have indicated that the Edward D’Souza missing person case can officially be closed pending final input and documentation from a law enforcement agency in South Asia.

This marks the first successfully resolved case for Onset Investigation, which was established in early 2025 with the mission of locating missing and wanted individuals across Canada and internationally. Our organization is currently engaged with a global network of law enforcement agencies with the goal of bringing closure to families and communities.

This case is dedicated to the memory of Donald Sweeney, a devoted member of Please Bring Me Home, who passed away in 2024 after a brief illness. Donald played a pivotal role in this investigation, developing the first piece of visual evidence that ultimately helped guide the case forward. He is deeply missed by all who knew and worked with him.
