Job Title: Translator & Language Specialist (English, Somali, French)
About the Role:
Danwaa General Solutions is seeking a skilled and experienced Translator & Language Specialist with proven expertise in translation, transcription, and interpretation between English, Somali, and French. The ideal candidate will have a strong linguistic background, cultural fluency, and a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Translate written documents accurately between English, Somali, and French.
2. Transcribe audio and video materials clearly and efficiently in the required language.
3. Provide interpretation services in real-time (consecutive and/or simultaneous) during meetings, interviews, or events.
4. Ensure linguistic and contextual accuracy, cultural relevance, and tone consistency.
5. Collaborate with the team to meet client expectations and deadlines.
6. Maintain confidentiality and uphold data protection standards in all assignments.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in translation, transcription, and interpretation in the three languages.
- Excellent command of English, Somali, and French (both spoken and written).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Familiarity with technical, legal, or development sector terminology is an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Communications, or related field preferred.
