I’ve had many conversations with women who are interested in building an online business, and their reasons are all so relatable.

Yes. It’s the extra income.
The rising cost of just about everything.
The kids’ activities, the mortgage, and wanting a little more room in the budget.
Thinking about retirement and wondering whether there’s something else you could be building now.

But sometimes, it’s not about struggling financially at all.
It’s about being comfortable but knowing you’d still like more options for your future.
That’s something I understand.

I started building an online business in my 50s because I wanted more flexibility, more ownership over my future, and the chance to build something of my own.

You don’t have to have the same reason as someone else. You just have to be curious enough to explore what’s possible.

Think an online business isn’t for you???

Well…I’ve had conversations with women who are interested in building an online business, and their reasons are so relatable.

It’s the extra income.
The rising cost of just about everything.
The kids’ activities, the mortgage, and wanting more breathing room in the budget.

Thinking about retirement and wondering whether there’s something else you could be building now.
And sometimes, it’s not about struggling financially at all. It’s about being comfortable but knowing you’d still like more options for your future.

That’s something I understand too.
I didn’t start building an online business in my 50s because I had some grand master plan. I started because I wanted more flexibility, more ownership over my future, and the chance to build something of my own.

So. You don’t have to have the same reason as someone else. You just have to be curious enough to explore what’s possible.

Funny how we encourage our kids to “be brave”, “try new things” and not let fear hold them back…
And then we grow up and become experts at talking ourselves out of things. 🙃

I’ve definitely done it myself many times.
Starting an online business wasn’t something I EVER pictured myself doing.

But when I took another look with an open mind, I saw women of different ages, backgrounds and circumstances doing it.
Women I could relate to.
Women who didn’t know what they were doing when they started.

And it made me wonder…
What if this could be an option for me, too?

That didn’t make every doubt disappear!😜

But it gave me the courage to explore the possibility, take the leap and find out for myself.

And maybe that’s the reminder we all need sometimes, especially in midlife.

Whether it’s starting a business, changing careers, trying something completely different or finally doing that thing you’ve been thinking about for years…

You don’t have to eliminate the fear before you begin.
You just have to stop letting it make every decision for you.
Because if we never try, we’ll never find out what’s possible. ❤️

I get it… you’re wondering, “Okay, ….but what exactly IS this online business?” 😂

Fair question. Because let’s be honest, there’s a LOT of noise online, and if you’re anything like me, you want to know what you’re actually getting into before you get excited about anything.

So here’s the simple version. 👇

✅ I’m building my own online business through a digital marketing platform partnered with established companies.

📱 My role?
I learn to market the business opportunity online and connect interested people with information , just sharing how it works.

🎓 Do I need to know how to run an online business?
Nope. There’s training, marketing tools, coaching and a community to help me learn. I’m building the skills as I go.

📦 Who handles the products?
The partner companies handle the products, orders and fulfillment. I’m not stocking products, packing boxes or chasing down deliveries. 🙌

💰 How does the money work?
The model pays commissions on qualifying sales, including the potential for higher-value commissions. Earnings results depend on effort, consistency and the compensation plan.

⏰ Can I do this alongside real life?
That’s one of the things that appealed most to me. I can work on it anywhere, from my phone, in pockets of my day, around work and family.

And yes, there’s an initial investment. I think it’s important to be upfront about that, to fully understand what’s included and look at the costs before deciding if it’s a fit.

So why am I doing it?
Because after years of investing my time, energy and talent into other people’s businesses, I wanted to explore building something of my own. Something with flexibility, potential and the possibility of creating an income stream that compounds over time.

Am I an overnight success story? 😂 Nope!
But I’m learning as I go, sharing the wins, and figuring out what this next chapter can look like.

We spend so much time, energy and money building careers, supporting companies and helping other people achieve their dreams.

But somewhere along the way, investing in ourselves can end up at the bottom of the list.
And no, I don’t mean buying yourself an ice cream or booking a holiday (although, absolutely 🍨✈️😊).

I mean investing in your own growth, your options, your future and what might be possible in this next chapter.

Maybe you just have to be willing to consider that there might be more.

Awkward, but honest… when was the last time you did something just for your future self?

Fair question!
It’s not traditional way of starting a business.
So I get why people ask.👀
And, before I looked into it, I had questions too. LOTS.

But what I found interesting wasn’t just the business model, it was that I didn’t have to create a product, figure out all the tech, or build every single piece from scratch. 😳

The infrastructure was already there.
I could learn the marketing side and build something of MY OWN … AROUND my actual life.
Is it effortless? Nope.
Is it something you have to learn and work at? Absolutely.
But the idea of building an online business without having to reinvent the wheel? That got my attention.

Well… October just got a little more interesting. 👀💗

I had to start at the beginning, figure out the system, work my way through the commission structure and slowly climb those rungs.
