Today, we’re proud to announce a new partnership with Kairos Racing.

North44 Yacht Sales has acquired an IC37 — not simply as a race boat, but as an investment in the future of high-performance sailing in Atlantic Canada.

Our vision is to create greater access to world-class training opportunities and help talented local sailors compete on the national and international stage.

“This investment is about much more than a boat,” says North44 owner, Stu McCrea. “We have incredible sailing talent in Nova Scotia. Our goal is to provide the platforms and opportunities that help that talent thrive.”

Kairos Racing Team will be the first team to train on the IC37 as they prepare for the New York Yacht Club Women’s International Championship, while also utilizing a BRIG Navigator 22 provided by North44 in partnership with Suzuki Canada as a dedicated coach boat.

“Kairos Racing and North 44 share a vision of Nova Scotians and Canadian women competing and succeeding at the highest levels of sailing, both domestically and internationally.

Having access to an IC 37 in Nova Scotia is a massive development for us, not only as we prepare for the inaugural NYYC Women’s International Championships in September (and future editions), but as a high performance platform for our inshore pathway moving forward.

Creating a sustainable high performance program is only possible with community support - we are so grateful for the ongoing partnership with North 44 and their support of the Kairos vision for growing our sport in Nova Scotia and across the country.“

North44 views this initiative as the beginning of a long-term commitment to developing competitive sailing in Atlantic Canada. While Kairos is the first team to benefit from the program, the vision extends beyond a single campaign—to help build a stronger, more inclusive and more competitive sailing community for years to come.
