I wrote a book.
It’s called Chasing Magic: The 2025 Valhalla Sailing Season.
This one means a lot to me.
It follows a full racing season with an all-veteran crew — from windy spring regattas in Annapolis to the J/30 North Americans in New Orleans. We nearly won early. We broke things. We rebuilt. We learned to trust each other under pressure.
By the end of the season, we finished third overall at the North Americans.
But the result isn’t the real story.
The real story is how repetition, responsibility, and competition change people. How a crew forms. How confidence grows quietly. How structure and purpose matter more than speeches ever could.
Every sailor on that boat lives with a disability. No special framing. Just roles, standards, and work.
Proceeds from the book support the Valhalla Sailing Project and its veteran sailing programs.

I’m proud of this one.
