We searched extensively for the material that we use on the base of Pro-Sox, it had to make the Pro-Sox equal to or improve the safety of the manufacturer’s ladder feet. The rubberized tactical material that we found is the perfect base material.
We believe that our base material will maintain the safety of your ladder while providing a durable barrier between possibly contaminated, gritty or soiled ladder feet and the flooring surface that you’re working on.

While working on a major construction project where it was required that worker’s footwear and ladder feet be covered when on areas with finished flooring, I discovered a need that could not safely be filled.

Although boot covers were readily available, no commercial product existed for the step ladder feet. As a result, workers were taping rags or bits of carpet to their step ladders to protect finished floors. However, this makeshift solution was both unsafe and ineffective. The makeshift covers were slippery, and workers often forgot to remove them when transitioning from dirty to clean areas, defeating their purpose.

I realized there was a need for a better solution to protect step ladder feet, especially for those who use ladders in various environments. Step ladders are used in a range of places, from outdoors, to workshops and to offices, and risk contaminating or damaging different floor types.

That's why we created Pro-Sox. Our goal with Pro-Sox is clear: to provide a safe, long-lasting, and professional solution for covering step ladder feet. We've gone to great lengths to ensure that Pro-Sox maintain a non-slip surface while being durable and washable. Additionally, we've designed a handy pouch that attaches to your ladder, ensuring the covers are always where you need them.
