Recent work: After a twenty-year process, the Inuvialuit Regional Corporation’s Self-Government Negotiation Team needed to clearly, comprehensively explain the major points of its agreement to the Inuvialuit people. On a tight schedule, Verge worked with the team and its legal experts to create an easily digestible, clear-language set of presentation materials, including a print brochure and online slideshow.

Attention Website Owners Re: HTTP/HTTPS

Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers are starting to label all sites with HTTP addresses as ‘Not secure’, as part of an overall move to an HTTPS standard. This warning does NOT mean your website has suddenly become less secure. It simply means that the security standards for browsers are changing.

The Giant Mine Oversight Board, a new organization charged with monitoring and advising the Giant Mine remediation project, wanted a site with a clean aesthetic and focused navigation that keeps all content accessible within three clicks. Other features include a custom calendar that automatically syncs to an editable Google calendar; a recent events page with custom masonry-style gallery; and Google apps management. Verge also created an online/print informational campaign introducing GMOB and its mission to the community. http://gmob.ca/

Heads-up, website owners! Multiple clients of ours have been receiving deceptive letters via the post telling them to renew their website domains. Whether your website is managed by Verge Communications or not, ignore these letters. They have been designed to look like bills, but are actually just an attempt to get recipients to transfer to using their services. The people behind them have acquired the expiration dates of domains using publicly accessible WHOIS records. While the domain expiration date may be accurate, your domain is NOT managed by this company, and has most likely been set up to automatically renew. Any further questions?
