🐕🕵️♂️ How to properly check your dog for ticks—and safely remove them! 🕷️❌
Before heading back inside after a fun outdoor walk, checking your pet for ticks is essential. Ticks migrate across your dog’s body looking for the perfect spot to feed, so catching them early makes all the difference!
In our video "PPE for Pest Control DIY.mp4", we show you exactly where to look and how to take action:
🔍 Key Areas to Inspect:
👃 The Nose & Mouth
👂 In and Around the Ears
🐾 Between the Toes
🐕 The Underbelly
🛠️ Safe Tick Removal:
If you spot a tick, do not reach for internet hacks like matches, Vaseline, or dish soap—these can increase the risk of infection! Instead:
Use fine-tip tweezers or a dedicated tick removal tool to isolate the head close to the skin.
Apply gentle, upward pressure and slowly spin the tool. The tick will pop right out safely!
Keeping your pets safe from tick-borne diseases requires the right approach. 🛡️❤️
