Okay, three days for our second stay and we’re already trying to figure out when we can come back. 🌲

You know how some spaces just do something to you the second you walk in? This is one of those. The noise quiets. Your shoulders drop. And suddenly there’s room to think again.

A few reasons we keep choosing for our Work VACAYs:

→ It’s gorgeous. Spacious. Calm in a way you can feel.

→ The dining table is basically a coworking dream — big enough to spread out and actually get into it together

→ The wifi works (not a small thing when our community is joining us virtually)

→ Kayaks, hot tub, sauna, and a lake right there when you need to step away from the screen

→ Hosts who think of everything before you even know to ask

→ And a book stack that made us laugh on arrival (one very familiar green spine 😉)

If you’ve been craving a reset that doesn’t make you choose between getting things done and actually being present — go.

This is the spot.

Use THEWORKVACAY20 at ravencliff.ca for 20% off your stay.

Day 2 is Conquer Day. 🌱

Yesterday the room was full of conversation — what’s on everyone’s plate, what they actually want to be working on, what keeps getting pushed off.

Today it’s quiet. Coffee in hand. Laptops open. Everyone finally getting time with the thing they’ve been meaning to move for weeks, months, maybe even years.

Sometimes you don’t need more advice. You need a few hours where no one can interrupt you.

Looking forward to seeing participants of The Spring VACAY at 12PM EST. ☀️

The Spring VACAY starts tonight — and these moments are exactly what this experience was built for.

If you’re VACAY curious — if something in you is leaning in even as you scroll — consider this your nudge.

You don’t have to show up with it all figured out. That’s the whole point. You come as you are, and we work through the noise together until the clarity shows up on its own.

Here’s what most people don’t realise: The Work VACAY isn’t just an escape. It’s a practice. One designed to live with you long after the experience ends — built to be returned to, again and again, whenever life or business gets loud.

Made for you. For your comfort. For the seasons when you need to come home to yourself.

The link in our bio will get you started — sign up and we’ll send a direct link your way.

See you on the inside. 🌿

Your feed knows you too well. That’s the problem. 🤳

It shows you what you already think. People who already agree with you. Ideas you’ve already half-formed. And then we wonder why we feel stuck, uninspired, low-key unmotivated, and convinced everyone is thinking the same three thoughts.

You can’t algorithm your way to a new idea. You can’t doomscroll your way to clarity. And you definitely can’t find your people in a feed designed to keep you exactly where you are.

The most regulated, motivated, interesting version of me shows up after I’ve actually been around humans. A coffee. An event. A walk with someone who speaks my language, but also thinks differently than I do. Not a podcast about connection — connection.

Your nervous system knows the difference. So does your work.

Put the phone down and put yourself in a room. Any room. The good ideas are out there, not in there. ☀️

Shout out to .co and for this chat last spring. Should we bring these conversations back? Let us know in the comments. 🌱

Visualization isn’t woo-woo. It’s wiring. 🌱

Studies have shown that mental rehearsal activates many of the same neural pathways as physically doing the thing — which is why elite athletes, surgeons, and performers have used it for decades to prep for high-stakes moments.

But here’s what visualizing also does: it reveals what season you’re actually in. At The Work VACAY, we talk about the four seasons — Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter — and how your business moves through each one.

What we also talk about is that you move through seasons too.

A season of recovery. A season of building. A season of caring for someone you love. And when you can clearly picture where you’re trying to go, you start to see what belongs in this season’s focus and what can rest until the next.

Sometimes the most strategic thing you can do is let a few things go this summer while you pour your energy into the one thing that actually moves the needle.

A small reflection to try right now:

Close your eyes. Picture yourself 90 days from now, having moved the one thing that mattered most. What does your day look like? What’s no longer on your plate? What does your nervous system feel like?

Sit with what comes up. That’s the path.

Can’t wait to see what our Spring VACAY participants visualize this Sunday during their 36-hour escape. 🌱

It’s easy to look successful online.

It’s much harder to do the actual work that gets you there — the consistency, the clarity, the unsexy reps nobody sees.

The scroll will sell you a thousand shortcuts. None of them replace knowing where you’re going and showing up for it, day after day.

Put the phone down this week. Do the work.

And if you need support on gaining clarity to make sure your actions are aligned and meaningful, The Work VACAY is always here to support. 🫶

The hardest part was never the late nights. It was that no one saw them.

No one’s there when the idea finally lands. When the strategy clicks. When you quietly solve something you’ve been circling for weeks. So you shrug, save the doc, and start on the next thing.

I did this to myself for years. Head down, next thing, next thing, next thing — never once stopping to notice what I’d actually accomplished.

It’s honestly why the seasonal VACAYs have been such a turning point for me. Four times a year, I make myself stop.

Look back. Take stock of what I figured out, what I let go of, what I’m actually proud of — before I let myself plan what’s next.

So before this week closes, three prompts:

→ What did I figure out this week?
→ What did I stop carrying?
→ What’s one thing I can actually be proud of?

If the answers feel hard to find — that’s the sign.

Spring VACAY is May 3–5. A real pause. A real look back. A real plan for the season ahead. Link in bio. ✨

Ten years.

That’s how long I’ve been taking seasonal Work VACAYs — and every single spring one has shown me something I couldn’t see from inside the noise of my day-to-day.

Sometimes I’ve come to it in the middle of something hard. A decision I couldn’t make. A season that had me stretched too thin. A question I kept avoiding because I didn’t want to hear the answer.

Other times I’ve come to it feeling good — wanting to stay in motion, wanting to be intentional about where that momentum was pointed before I accidentally sent it somewhere I didn’t mean to go.

Either way, 36 hours of focused time away has always given me the same thing: a clearer view of what actually matters in my work, and how those dots connect to the life I’m trying to build around it.

That’s the whole practice. That’s why I keep coming back to it. And that’s why, every season, we open the doors so you can experience it too.

The Spring Work VACAY is May 3rd–5th. It’s free. We’ll connect online to walk you through the VACAY framework, and then the real experience happens wherever you choose to go — alone, or with the people you want to invite into the practice with you.

If spring feels like the right time to step back and look at the bigger picture of your work and life — come with us.

You’ve been staring at it so long it stopped making sense.

The strategy. The decision. The next move. The thing you’ve been turning over in your head for weeks trying to figure out why it’s not clicking.

And your instinct is to push harder. Stay longer. Do more.

Clarity rarely shows up when you’re grinding for it. It shows up in the shower. On the walk. In the quiet moment after you finally close the laptop.

The Work VACAY isn’t just a concept. It’s a practice. It’s the intentional decision to step back so you can actually see what you’re building — and where it’s going.

The business doesn’t need more of your hours right now.
It needs a version of you who can actually see the whole picture.

So before you push through again — what would happen if you just… stepped away for a minute?

If you’re ready to actually do the thing — we have a spot for you.

The Spring VACAY is happening May 3–5. 36-hours to step away, gain clarity, and come back to your business with fresh eyes.

What if you’re not burned out from working too much — but from working without a clear enough reason why?

Exhaustion hits different when you’ve lost the thread. It’s not just tired. It’s the kind of tired that a good night’s sleep doesn’t fix.

Sometimes you don’t need a break from your business. You need a few honest hours with it.

That’s what The Work VACAY™ is — a retreat practice designed to help you find the thread again.

Start with our free tools at theworkvacay.com.

Hear us out…

Two nights.
1–2 of your favourite business people.
A quiet cabin (or honestly, just somewhere you won’t be interrupted).
And 36 hours to actually work on your business.

Not answering emails.
Not reacting all day.
Not jumping from one thing to the next.

Just space to think.
To shake the funk.
To get clear on what you’re building and where you’re going.

That’s The Work VACAY™.

We’ve taken what can feel overwhelming—stepping away, knowing what to focus on, making it all count—and built the structure for you.

The tools are there.
The framework is there.
You don’t have to figure it out from scratch.

You just have to give yourself the time.

If you’ve been feeling a little scattered lately… this might be your move.

👉 Join us for the Spring Work VACAY (May 3–5). Do it your way, from wherever you are so you can learn our practice and then have the tools to repeat it—season after season.
