A late post about a very special day…

Last Saturday, I had the privilege of co-facilitating our second Holistic Leadership Circle for Women alongside —a space dedicated to meaningful dialogue and hands-on peer support in overcoming real-life leadership challenges.

On this special day, we explored the inner barriers that we, as women, often face—a session beautifully led by guest practitioner .

The conversation unfolded organically, guided by the collective energy of the circle. There’s something powerful about this kind of space: it’s not just about following an agenda but about leaning into what emerges, holding space, and deciding together what needs to come next.

What made this circle even more special was welcoming women who were completely new to our community—yet deeply resonated with the words circle and holistic leadership. It’s a reminder that these conversations are needed and that leadership isn’t just about strategy—it’s about how we show up, what we release, and how we grow in community.

A heartfelt thank you to - In a Good Way Consulting and for sponsoring this space and helping make this gathering possible.

No better way to celebrate International Women’s Day than with a diverse group of inspiring women, each committed to their own transformation and to uplifting others.

Grateful for this journey. 💜

On February 8, we gathered for the first Holistic Leadership Circle, co-hosted with from .ca

Together, we co-created a space where nonprofit leaders, entrepreneurs, and community champions came together to share what’s working for them regarding the inner work needed to grow in their roles.

Through peer support and coaching, we tackled real challenges and explored embodied leadership to cultivate openness and adaptability.

A key takeaway? Safe spaces where women can openly share their raw thoughts on pressing concerns and receive holistic feedback from peers are deeply valued and lead to profound transformational learning.

Special thanks to the generous sponsorship from Angie Kermer- In A Good Way Consulting, for fostering space for growth, and connection among women 🧡

Join us for the next circle on Saturday, March 8, as we celebrate International Women’s Day, and again on April 12.

Thanks to a new sponsorship from a participant in the first session, two spots are covered in each of the next 2 sessions!

When planning how to approach a project, focusing on a person’s or team's strengths emphasizes the human capacity for resilience and achievement.

While acknowledging the difficulties that clients experience, the strengths approach avoids limiting people to their traumas, problems, obstacles, illnesses, or adversity.

We have found the appreciative inquiry framework a helpful tool for both personal and team-related projects; this framework uses the team or individual’s current strengths as the starting point to design a better future.

The Thin Book of Appreciative Inquiry by Sue Annis Hammond is our recommended reading this week for those interested in using a positive approach to solutions design and relationship building.

In your experience, what has been possible when you focused on strengths?
