Click around, we've been busy!

Our new website is live, and it's built around how your team actually experiences wellness. Take a look: www.wellintel.ca

Most organizations still think of workplace wellness as a single lunch-and-learn rather than a system that needs research behind it. That's the gap we built WellIntel to close, and our new site reflects it: Wellness Talks, Half-Day Workshops, and Research & Consulting, all in one place.

If you're starting to think about fall programming for your team, now's a good time to take a look. What would you want your team's wellness support to look like this fall?

Something's loading... đź‘€

We've been quiet on here but we've been busy behind the scenes. New site, new look, additional services, same evidence-based approach to workplace wellness.

Stay tuned!

📢 We're thrilled to officially announce that WellIntel is an Ambassador and the research team behind the League of Innovators Accelerator's new Edge Program!

The Edge is LOI's high-performance and wellness initiative for young Canadian founders, and the core idea is simple: elite athletes have sport psychologists, recovery protocols, and performance systems.

Nobody thinks that makes them weak. It gives them the edge. And founders deserve the exact same.

At WellIntel, we're leading the independent research and evaluation for the program - measuring what changes, what sticks, and what this programming and support ultimately means for both founder wellbeing and venture performance.

We're here because the research is clear: sustainable performance isn't about working harder or pushing through; it's about building the mental infrastructure that actually supports long-term success. Stress isn't the enemy. Unchecked stress is. Founders who understand that distinction don't just feel better; they build better.

This isn't just another program. It's a training system for people who are already building great things and want the tools, language, and support to turn a good quarter into a successful, sustainable venture.

Follow along as the program unfolds and we dive into the data. 👇

Mental Health Month is a great time to name something many employees already feel: mental health at work is not only an individual resilience conversation. It is a systems conversation.

More good days at work are shaped by factors such as realistic workload, role clarity, psychological safety, recovery time, leadership behaviours, and visible support.

Research and public health guidance consistently point to the same conclusion: workplace conditions matter. This means support cannot only appear after someone is overwhelmed. It has to be built into the workday through the way priorities are set, meetings are managed, managers listen, and teams are given room to recover.

A good day at work should not feel rare. When organizations measure what matters and address root causes, workplace well-being becomes more than a program. It becomes part of how the organization operates.

Burnout prevention starts before someone says, “I’m burned out.”

For many people, burnout does not arrive all at once. It can show up quietly, through cynicism, trouble focusing, emotional exhaustion, or small tasks feeling unusually heavy. By the time someone finally names it, the strain has often been building for a long time.

The encouraging part is that preventable stress can often be reduced through small, consistent leadership behaviours. Psychological safety grows through daily signals: listening without defensiveness, inviting feedback, reprioritizing when capacity is tight, making support visible before crisis, and treating recovery as part of sustainable performance.

Dedication should not have to be proven through exhaustion.

For , we invite teams to move the conversation upstream: from reacting to burnout to designing work in ways that protect well-being before people are running on empty.

Visit the WellIntel website (link in bio) to read our latest blog post: “Parenting While Working: How to Reduce Stress and Improve Work-Life Flow.”

This article explores the very real challenges many working parents face while navigating career, caregiving, stress, and well-being. It offers a compassionate look at why the idea of perfect “balance” often falls short, and how embracing work-life flow can create more realistic, supportive, and sustainable ways of moving through work and family life.

📣 NEW BLOG POST!

Traditionally, “impairment” has been viewed narrowly through the lens of substance use — but that perspective is outdated. Today, more employers are recognizing the value of a fitness-for-duty approach that looks beyond substances to include fatigue, stress, mental health, and other factors that impact safety and performance.

In this blog, we teamed up with Shift OHS to explore what fitness for duty really means, why it’s critical in safety-sensitive industries, and how organizations can take proactive steps to protect both workers and the workplace.

We’re grateful for our continued partnership with the SD22 Health & Safety Committee. After previously inviting WellIntel for Psychological Health & Safety training, they recently hosted Dr. Nicole Legg for two sessions on the Foundations of Mental Health & Well-Being.

These foundational sessions serve as a launchpad for engaging with further wellness content, including talks on team resilience, applied mental health skills, and stress management.

By investing in both organizational culture and individual skills, SD22 is building a strong foundation for workplace wellness.🤝
