When I was in architecture school, I designed a building very similar to this. My ideas were often less mainstream and maybe a little ahead of their time. Was challenging for me then, especially when people didn’t get it. It is always very exciting to see similar ideas come to fruition 25-30 years later.

As some of you know, I have been involved over the past years in research; research that has a direct impact on my son Nolin and his ultra rare disease, but also around systems and our lived experience. I have been partnering with many initiatives in the hopes to help create more awareness and make a better world for palliative children, children living with medical complexity and their families.

My first piece got published today. It is a commentary on a medical paper that captures the type of trauma our families go through and potential ways to mitigate some of it.
