The Project Management Essentials presentation at UBC Sauder Career Centre took place this past Monday. We will provide a detailed program guide to those who are interested. We would like to hold a second event with a panel of Project management Professionals from various industries here in Vancouver. The CAPM is a certification for Certified Associate in Project Management. The PMP is a certification for a Project Management Professional. Both are certifications that the Project Management Institute offers to project managers.

The Apprenticeship and Transitions Programs will be operational in the first quarter of 2012. Academic Outreach is speaking with UBC Sauder, UBC Continuing Studies, SFU Beedie School of Business, SFU Continuing Studies, BCIT and Langara in preparation for the roll out. We'd like to announce that Julie Foxcroft has been appointed the Academic Outreach Ambassador to the University of British Columbia (UBC). Julie will be working with staff and students at UBC on raising awareness for our partnership programs and the exciting opportunities for students.

The Academic Outreach program is currently working with the Business Outreach program on the development of a Project Management specific Internship Program, providing our student members with the opportunity for PM related experience once they've achieved CAPM certification.
