I studied chemistry and worked in research and quality control laboratories for more than 15 years. I have always loved photography, and even had my own darkroom when I was in high school. I joined the photography club in university too. I learned photography using ful
ly manual cameras (old school) — no automatic settings! In 1999, I switched over to digital photography and today I shoot both digital and film. I moved from Toronto to Vancouver in 2006, and was inspired by the natural beauty of the West Coast — mountains, forests, ocean — and wanted to learn how to better capture that beauty in photographs. In 2007, I enrolled in the Langara Photography Certificate program where I took courses such as Advanced Studio Lighting, Portraiture, Commercial Photography, Fashion Photography, Editorial Photography, Photographic Art History, Composition and Design, Conceptual Photography and Photoshop. After 3 years of study and intense practice, I completed the program in 2010. During that time, I learned that I loved photographing people, creating images that thrill my clients.
