π’ NEWS | Sun Summit Commences Fieldwork at the Orbit Copper-Gold Project, Toodoggone District, BC
Sun Summit Minerals Corp. has mobilized an exploration crew to begin its 2026 field program at the Orbit Project, building on the first known exploration ever recorded on the property completed in 2025.
The 6,600-hectare Orbit Project is jointly held 51%/49% with Eagle Plains Resources (TSX-V: EPL) and is located approximately 18 km from both the flagship JD Project and the Theory Project β adding to Sun Summit's growing district-scale footprint in the Toodoggone.
The 2026 program is focused on expanding the newly discovered Calypso Zone β a 300-metre area of copper mineralization hosted in silica-sericite altered intrusive rocks β and identifying additional prospects across the property. Work includes prospecting, geological mapping, geochemical and silt sampling, and reconnaissance of priority remote-sensing anomalies.
"The start of fieldwork at Orbit adds to an already active exploration season for Sun Summit across the Toodoggone. Together, JD, Theory, and Orbit give us a growing district-scale land position in a highly prospective area of BC."
β Niel Marotta, CEO, Sun Summit Minerals
