Temperature check! 🌡️

So where do you land on a scale of 1-10?

1= Wanting to strip your business down, wanting to completely tap out, contemplating anything else but the business you’re in.

5= Things are going okay and running tickety boo. And you’re pretty content to be here for now

10= Hungry and feeling ready to take some action to really get after IT (life, financial and business goals)

Be honest. There are no wrong answers. I just want to see where everyone is at right now.

Sometimes the right question changes your business more than another strategy ever could.

Asking different questions might end up revealing the assumptions you’ve been operating from (click whirrrr response)

Today, instead of scrolling past this, I invite you to give yourself five quiet minutes and answer these honestly. Don’t answer how you wish things were. Answer based on where you are today.

You might *just* surprise yourself.

I’d love to know…which question made you stop and think the longest? Share in the comments, or save this post and come back to it during your next CEO planning session!

I’m not a one sized fits all kinda gal. I don’t believe there’s one magic strategy that works for everyone.

Every business is different, every human behind the behind operates in a unique way, and everyone’s definition of success varies.

My job isn’t to hand you a cookie-cutter blueprint. It’s to help you think more clearly, make better decisions, build a business that fits your life, and actually follow through on the things that matter most.

Some days that looks like refining your offers, pricing, marketing, or sales strategy and other days it looks like untangling the mindset, habits, fears, or overwhelm that have been quietly holding you back. (Those two things are connected more often than most people realize!)

I believe entrepreneurship should challenge you, stretch you, and grow you. But I don’t think it has to leave you exhausted, confused, or constantly wondering what to do next.

If you’re looking for someone who will celebrate your wins, ask better questions, help you simplify the complicated parts of business, and lovingly call you out when you’re getting in your own way… you’re in the right place.

I’d love to know: What’s one thing you want to shift in your life or business in the next year? Wildly ambitious and small steps are equally encouraged! Answer below!

Yep. That’s right. You’re not selling enough. Especially if you’re in a promotional window.

I already hear your objection “but I don’t want to annoy people”.

Okay I hear you and I will push back on this a little.

People won’t get sick of you by mentioning your sale or promotion every single day via email or social media post.

Their scrolling past hundreds if not thousands of other things every thing day. Your one story mention or one social media post just…isn’t…going…to…cut….it.

Once upon a time people needed to see something SEVEN times before building trust and having enough awareness to potentially buy.

THESE days, however that number is generally skyrocketed to about 88 times!!! That means that people need to see and hear about your offer explicitly on average eighty eight times to realize “oh this actually might be for me” or “ohhhh I didn’t realize but this is exactly what my mom was looking for!”

We need to be able to get really good about talking about one thing in many different ways in order to strike a chord with the right people at the right time.

You’re going to think it’s obvious. But you’re the expert in your field. Your people need to be told that this product or service IS actually for them.

Things you can focus on to talk about the same thing in different ways include (and are not limited to)

•specifics of your promotion (what’s included and what makes this a great time to buy)
• list the features (what to do the actually get - quantity, dimensions, length of time, deliverables)
• list the benefits (the hidden value that they get once they buy your product or service- usually things like trust, ease of mind, time back, organization, etc)
• talk about client stories or testimonials
• talk about your why, your story
• address common objections you hear and flip them around “that’s too expensive” —> “what would be the cost of you NOT moving ahead with this”
• asking people to think of someone THEY know who might get value out of this sale or promotion (this can spread your sales beyond your own platform)
• explain why this particular season is a great time

I spent YEARS believing some version of these statements. That selling was gross. That rest was the weak. That if I just worked hard enough, eventually it would all just feel less scary.

Spoiler: it didn’t. The grind didn’t make me more successful, it just made me more tired.

What actually changed my business (and my bank account) was ditching the beliefs that were secretly running the show and replacing them with ones that actually let me build something sustainable.

So if slide 2 through 9 made you wince even a LITTLE bit… consider it your sign. ⚠️

Tell me in the comments — which one hit the hardest? 👀 (Don’t lie, I’ll know.)

And if you’re ready to trade the “juuuuust getting by” mindset for one that actually builds wealth AND a life you really enjoy living, get on the waitlist for my next group cohort. We begin this September! Just shoot me a DM and I’ll put you in the waitlist and I’ll be providing more details soooon!

If you think you’re the ONLY one who has to take a *cough* FEW *cough* DOZEN photos or videos to get the right one, you’re in good company!

Did you know that my first front facing video 15 second story tools me legitimately 2 full hours to record?

Did you know that I still usually take 2-4 takes for most videos? And that is totally normal?

Did you know that I don’t post most photos and videos I even take?

I’ve been doing this social media thing for a long time (elder millennial here 👋) and I completely understand that it can feel like a bit of a gauntlet to know what the heck to post in the first place and record videos AND take good pics AND be creative AND know what to write for hooks, captions and CTAs.

Ironically, after all these years, I’ve realized that recording the content usually isn’t the biggest obstacle.

I’ll explain what I think actually is in a future post!

Now tell me… do you recall the most takes you’ve ever done before finally posting something? 😂

Entrepreneurs are built different and no, it’s not a problem. And yes, we are okay and we are actually pretty proud of what we are building.

And this is certainly not a message glorifying working around the clock because I don’t believe in that BUT we really do crave the freedom and flexibility to have the occasional random Tuesday off but to also work all weekend if and when the creativity is flowing. We want to get to work at 5am if we can’t go back to bed because our brain is firing about how to fix that thing we were stuck on the day before. We want to respond to that client on our way out for dinner.

Share with your business besties who wholeheartedly understand this preferred routine. ILY 🫶

If sales and selling gives you the ICK and you’re in business for yourself I hate to say it but you’re gonna have a HARD time in business.

Somewhere along the way you decided selling = gross, pushy, sleazy, salesy because of perhaps a couple experiences that rubbed you the wrong way. (Also- you don’t have to sell like that contractor or sales person that gave you the ick!)

You might have a few stories but the TRUTH is that you buy and sell EVERY SINGLE DAY. That coffee order. That opinion you gave your friend on which apartment to pick. That time you convinced your partner to try the restaurant YOU wanted to go to.

Selling is just… communicating what’s possible for someone. That’s it. That’s the whole thing.

The gross part is never the selling. It was the pressure. The manipulation. The “buy now or you’ll regret it forever” energy, which again, you do not need to copy.

Real selling sounds like this: here’s what I have, here’s what it could do for you, and I trust you to make the right call for YOU.

That’s not gross! That’s empowering!

You don’t have to convince anyone but you DO have to inform them and invite them in! Let them decide!

Whats your biggest hang up on sales or selling? Let me know. I can talk about this all day loooong! 👇
