For a long time, I thought living my best life meant finally reaching a place where everything felt comfortable.
The business would be working. My relationships would feel easy. My health would be strong. Life would stop surprising me, and I could finally relax.
I know now that life does not work that way.
A life we love is not a life without uncertainty, difficult decisions, or change. It is a life in which we trust ourselves enough to meet what arrives and remain responsible for what we choose next.
Sometimes that means appreciating what is already beautiful. Sometimes it means admitting that a result is no longer acceptable. Sometimes it means taking a risk, changing direction, or acting on a desire we have kept quiet because the familiar felt safer.
Comfort can feel like peace, but they are not always the same. Sometimes comfort is simply the place where we have learned to tolerate what no longer fits.
The life I want is not perfectly predictable. It is honest, brave, meaningful, healthy, loving, and alive. It asks me to keep learning, take responsibility for my choices, and carry the feeling of what I desire in my mind, heart, and spirit.
That is the adventure for me: thinking Above the Line, speaking honestly about what I want, and putting love in motion through the actions I take.
Where might familiarity be keeping you from a life that feels more fully alive?
