Traffic control companies are under constant pressure to turn around compliant TMPs quickly, keep pricing competitive, and still deliver professional documents to clients.

That is exactly why we built the TrafficPlan.ca Category 1 TMP Builder.

This tool helps companies create compliant Category 1 Traffic Management Plans faster, reduce repetitive planning work, and increase internal capacity when things get busy. Instead of spending hours rebuilding the same type of plan manually, your team can move faster with a guided system built around BC MoTI TMM 2020 methodology and WorkSafeBC Part 18 alignment.

It is also a practical training tool for Supervisors, Leads, and office staff. Your employees do not just get a finished output — they learn the structure of a compliant Category 1 TMP as they build it. That means stronger internal knowledge, more consistency across your company, and a better standard of service for your clients.

If your company is producing TMPs for clients, this is a smarter way to speed up delivery, support employee development, and grow your planning capacity in-house.

Most traffic control issues don’t start in the field — they start before the plan is built.

If your crews are relying on guesswork, inconsistent setups, or outdated templates, you’re carrying unnecessary risk on every job.

Our tools are designed to help contractors train in-house, build consistency, and raise the standard across every crew.

Start with a guided Risk Assessment to identify real hazards on your site.
Then use the TMP Builder to turn that into a structured, compliant traffic plan your team can actually follow.

This isn’t just paperwork.
It’s a better way to train your people, protect your crews, and defend your work.

Drivers, when you see a TCP sign or STOP paddle, draw the line before the intersection.

Stopping where directed does not mean blocking a cross street, driveway, or emergency access. Keep intersections clear, watch the TCP, and wait for the signal before moving.

Your patience protects workers, drivers, pedestrians, and everyone trying to get home safely.

Stop checking boxes. Start understanding the risk.

Traffic control paperwork should do more than sit in a binder. It should help contractors, supervisors, and crews make better field decisions before the work starts.

TrafficPlan.ca is building practical B.C. traffic control infrastructure for the field:

Step 1: Complete a Guided Risk Assessment
Step 2: Use the Hierarchy of Controls Assessment to determine whether TCPs or AFADs are required
Step 3: Build a Category 1 TMP with confidence

Tools built for B.C. civil construction, roadworks, and traffic control operations — aligned with WorkSafeBC Part 18 and the MoTT Traffic Management Manual for Work on Roadways.

Saanich and Greater Victoria TCPs — this may be the opportunity you have been waiting for.

Not every experienced TCP wants to stay stuck being “just another name” on a dispatch list. Contractors are starting to recognize they need people in-house who understand traffic control, site safety, TCP supervision, TMPs, paperwork, and field communication.

TrafficPlan.ca is looking for experienced TCPs, LCTs, and future traffic control supervisors who are ready to step into contractor-direct opportunities.

This is for people who want to build something more stable than random dispatch, gain supervisor-level experience, and become the person contractors rely on to help manage traffic control properly.

You may be a fit if you:

Have solid TCP field experience
Can communicate professionally with contractors and crews
Understand that traffic control is a safety-critical role
Are ready to learn supervisor-level responsibilities
Want to be seen for more than just filling a shift

This is not about replacing traffic control companies. It is about helping contractors build safer in-house traffic control capacity where it makes sense — with trained, capable people leading the work.

Saanich / Greater Victoria opportunities.
Supervisor training pathway available for the right candidates.

Drivers: please give TCPs room to work.

Traffic volumes are increasing, distracted driving is common, and many TCPs are new or still building field experience. That can be a dangerous mix.

When a TCP directs you to stop, stop back. Do not roll ahead. Do not crowd the TCP station.

Speeding or creeping forward is intimidating and dangerous for the worker standing beside live traffic.

Stop a minimum of 25 m before you reach the TCP station, or at the indicated stop line.

Watch the TCP. Be patient. Follow the rules.

This is someone’s workplace.
