I had a great morning with a dear friend as we explored some shops in Downtown Cambridge visiting Kelly Butlers Pantry Galt earthsnook iced coffee from Melville Café enjoying art with Preston Arts Collective grabbing some new reading material from Hamley’s Second Chapter loving all the art work that surrounded us.

Excited for my new light house bag made by Betty. I can't wait to enjoy my new Olive oil and Balsamic Vinegar, not to mention Asparagus.

Looking forward in visiting all the shops again soon and visiting rest of locations with local art work as well.

Professional organizers are human too. 🙋‍♀️

Last week, I sprained my toes on a package of new hangers sitting on my bedroom floor.

Did I move them?

Nope.

This morning, before putting in my contact lenses, I walked through my room with blurry vision and tripped over the exact same hangers.

This time, I broke my toe and bruised another. 💔

The irony? The hangers were meant to help organize my closet.

Instead, because they never made it to their proper home, they became clutter—and a serious safety hazard.

As organizers, we talk a lot about reducing stress, creating calm, and improving functionality. But one of the most important benefits of an organized home is often overlooked:

✨ Safety.

Clutter on the floor isn't just visual clutter. It's a trip hazard.

And here's the lesson I learned the hard way: We stop "seeing" things that have been sitting in the same place for too long. They become part of the background.

My bedroom is getting a safety refresh while I heal:

✔ Clear pathways
✔ No floor clutter
✔ Fewer obstacles
✔ Better visibility

One simple rule that can make a huge difference:

👉 Nothing lives on the floor unless it's furniture.

Even professional organizers need reminders sometimes.

Now excuse me while I recover with my buddy-taped toes and use my own injury as a teaching moment. 😅
