The Spring Equinox reminds us that balance doesn’t mean everything is easy — it means we learn to hold both. The weight of what we carry, and the strength to keep moving forward.

Today we embrace the change of season.

We do not forget the heavy, but we see the light, growing like the sun as the days become longer.

This past month has asked a lot of us — in life and in our work. Through it all, we have continued to show up, grounded in what matters most.

From Kaska Traditional Territory, we move with intention into this next season — with gratitude, humility, and care.

We also want to acknowledge those who have stood with us during this time.

To our clients, partners, and community — thank you for your patience, understanding, and trust. These relationships are more than work. They reflect the values we carry: respect, connection, and walking together in a good way.

We are grateful to be building this work together — with each other, and alongside all of you.

Sōgā sinlā,
Amanda & Jesse Johnston

A personal update — March 2, 2026

This week, an out-of-office notice was prepared to reflect my attendance at AWG 2026. I am now writing to share an update to those plans.

I have had the honour of representing Team Yukon in past years, carrying my community and First Nation with pride into each competition. This year, I stepped into the volunteer role of Mission Staff for AWG 2026, ready to serve in a good way.

With my dad’s celebration of life taking place just before departure, I will no longer be attending.

This time has been another gentle reminder that leadership is not only about stepping forward, but also about stepping back so a role receives the full attention it deserves.

For now, I am taking things day by day, grounded in family and ceremony.

I give thanks to the AWG team for their understanding and support. I will be cheering from Kaska Traditional Territory and will return when the time aligns.

Sōgā sinlā,
Amanda Johnston
