Thank You, Heart Breakers!

Over the years, your strength, spirit, and enthusiasm in supporting the Heart Breaker Challenge, and the generosity and diligence in collecting pledges, making donations and committing to event sponsorship has powered and enabled the Heart Breaker Challenge to make a lasting impact on Cardiac, Stroke and Pulmonary Rehabilitation in our community.

Because of YOU, our incredible Participants and Sponsors, we’ve been able to once again contribute to the growth and expansion of vital rehabilitation programs at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare! Recently we’ve proudly joined other Donors to celebrate the launch of the brand new HDGH Bob Probert Campus located in Tecumseh, Ontario.

Not only will this facility support HDGH’s Cardiac Wellness Program, it also offers Outpatient Rehabilitation (which includes stroke rehab) and Geriatric support programs allowing the expansion of these services to an eastern Essex County area location, improving and easing access for patients in this area.

We congratulate the entire Probert Family on the opening of this facility in honour of Bob and their many years of fundraising and collaborative shared vision of enhancing health care and community access to important programs of Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare.

Thank you for your commitment and your support of Heart Breaker Challenge. You got fit, got dirty and gave back! The legacy of the Heart Breaker Challenge improving health care in our community continues.

A new fitness event has crossed the starting line to support Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare, stepping in to replace the popular Heartbreaker Challenge which ended after a successful 10-year run.

This past Friday, the Heart Breaker Challenge committee members met for the final time for an appreciation gathering at the The Bourbon tap & grill Tecumseh. We have come a long way over the past 10 years, and we could not have done it without our dedicated team members.

With 2023 being the final year for the Heart Breaker Challenge, we would like to thank the entire Petro Family & the team at the Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare Foundation, for their hard work and dedication.

A very special thank you to all our volunteers and participants over the years. You have helped raise over 1 million dollars for the Cardiac, Stroke & Pulmonary Rehab Programs and you have helped change thousands of people’s lives. We are forever grateful.

On behalf of Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare Foundation, we would like to thank Jason and Heidi Petro and the entire Petro family for conceiving of the Heart Breaker Challenge, bringing it to fruition and hosting it for 8 years all in support of the Cardiac, Stroke and Pulmonary Rehab programs at Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare.

The obstacles the Petro brothers and course volunteers created each year have been nothing short of fantastic! It was clearly enjoyed by participants who came back year after year. On the course, in our parking lots, behind a camera, at the sale booth, at registration - you could always find a Petro family member lending a hand on event weekend. For this HDGH and the Foundation will be forever grateful!

And to our participants, sponsors, volunteers and committee members as we wrap up this final year: Thank You for partnering with us to make a difference. How wonderful that we have a very tangible example of what we were able to achieve together with the Petro Family Exercise Centre.

🚨This is a friendly reminder that the Heart Breaker Challenge packet pick-up is happening tomorrow, Friday May 26th from 9:00AM-8:00PM and Saturday May 27th from 9:00AM-12:00PM. 🚨

Please make your way to the main tent at Malden Park (4300 Matchette Road) with valid photo ID. 🚨

During these hours, our team will also be accepting last minute in person registration. Please note: online transfers and registration is closed!
