The Jerry Holland Legacy Scholarship was established to honor the life, leadership, and enduring impact of aviation entrepreneur Jerry Holland, founder of Sheltair Aviation.

This $5,000 scholarship supports women pursuing careers in business aviation management and leadership, including fields such as FBO operations, aviation marketing, airport administration, customer experience, aviation business development, and related aviation business disciplines.

The scholarship seeks applicants who demonstrate leadership potential, integrity, service to others, and a passion for strengthening the future of aviation through relationship-driven leadership and operational excellence.

Inspired by the values that shaped Jerry Holland’s legacy — Family First. Fuel. Build. Serve. — this scholarship aims to empower the next generation of women leaders in aviation

Jerry Holland was a major contributor and supporter of Aviation Influence over the years, and is a major reason why we are able to have and fly Lady Liberty. We are honored to collaborate with Sheltair Aviation and Lisa Holland to continue Jerry Holland's legacy for years to come!

🎉 Huge congratulations to Hélène Trudeau, the first woman air traffic controller in the Winnipeg Terminal! ✈️

Hélène's journey is proof that investing in youth pays off. From attending NAV CANADA's Explore Aviation Summer Camp, to earning the Captain Judy Cameron Scholarship, to volunteering for years with the Manitoba Aviation Council's conference planning committee — she's given back to this industry every step of the way.

MAC is so proud to call Hélène one of our own. Her dedication, her spirit of mentorship, and now this incredible milestone are exactly why we believe in supporting the next generation of aviation professionals.

Congratulations, Hélène — we know you'll soar in this new chapter! 🛫

Does investing in youth really make a difference?

Let Hélène Trudeau, NAV CANADA's newest air traffic controller, answer that question.

After attending NAV CANADA's Explore Aviation Summer Camp, earning the Captain Judy Cameron Scholarship through the Northern Lights Aero Foundation, which was sponsored by Air Canada, volunteering with Northern Spirit, the Winnipeg Chapter of Women in Aviation International and Friends of the 99s, as well as joining the conference planning committee for Manitoba Aviation Council, Hélène just completed her training and is now a certified air traffic controller in the Winnipeg terminal area.

She didn't just build a career. She became someone who lifts others up along the way.

Yes, investing in youth makes a difference.
